'Never looked puffier': Lady Gaga's appearance elicits scrutiny from fans who claim her face looks swollen

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lady Gaga has sparked concerns among her fans who scrutinized the musician’s looks after she appeared in a recent video interview with beauty influencer Nikkie de Jager of NikkieTutorials.

The 37-year-old ‘Poker Face’ singer recently sat down with Nikkie where she discussed her upcoming album ‘LG7’ and shared that she is putting efforts to bring the album out as early as possible.

The ‘Bloody Mary’ songstress opted for a sleeveless black turtleneck sweater for the interview. She complimented her fresh face makeup by keeping her platinum blonde hair open and parted in the middle. 

While she discussed her life and the album with the social media influencer, the fans were fixated on her looks as many of the fans thought the ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ star’s face looked a little “swollen," per The Sun.

As the interview aired, fans quickly started scrutinizing Lady Gaga's appearance. While some fans showed their concern for the pop diva, a few trolls even commented on how her face looked.

One of the social media users observed, "Is it me or her face looks a bit swollen?"

Someone else commented, "She’s never looked puffier."

Another netizen admitted, "1st I didn’t recognize that she was Lady gaga, her face is a little bit swollen..👀."

Meanwhile, one of the fans showed excitement for the collaboration between the songstress and the acclaimed make up artist, saying, "Awwwwww another Nikki and Gaga collab and it came with news about LG7! Love it!"

Lady Gaga has never had plastic surgery

Though the social media users called out the 'Bad Romance' singer for doing 'work' on her face, Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, denied going under the knife in previous interviews.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2011, she said, “I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have," before adding, “I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification," per Rolling Stone.

The 'Shallow' singer continued, “I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.”

Nevertheless, the songstress has admitted that she has used fillers. Namedropping 'Juvederm' as her go to dermal filler, she admitted to Howard Stern in an interview in 2013, “…I would smoke a bunch of joints and have some drinks and I would be like, ‘Oh, let’s go see my girl’ and we would drive to this strip mall and I would get shot up with a bunch of whatever, Juvederm, and then leave," per Longevita.

Juvederm is a dermal filler used for cheeks, lips and mouth area.
