LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wendy Williams has been living in an assisted facility, but new details reveal she was moved to the memory unit not due to her dementia diagnosis, but because of an incident at the facility's restaurant.

A new report suggests that Williams was relocated after supervisors discovered she had been drinking in the facility's restaurant and not due to dementia.

Wendy Williams was initially placed on the third floor

An employee at the facility, who has interacted with Wendy Williams since she arrived, told TMZ about the sequence of events that led to the move.

"Wendy was initially placed on the 3rd floor of the building, which does not have restrictions on a resident's comings and goings," the employee told the outlet.

Early on in her stay, Williams went to the top-floor restaurant and bar for lunch, where she began ordering drinks.

"Wendy began ordering drinks and got drunk," the source told the outlet. She remained there for a long time and, when supervisors found out, they were furious that Wendy was "served alcohol."

Supervisors moved Wendy Williams to the fifth floor memory unit

Shortly after the incident, supervisors decided to relocate Wendy Williams to the fifth floor memory unit where "she would not have free access to the elevator."

The reason, according to the source, was that they "didn't want her going up to the restaurant and getting drunk again."

At first, there were no available rooms in the memory unit, therefore, Williams remained on the third floor under strict supervision.

Employees were stationed outside her room to prevent her from going upstairs.

"...Employees told Wendy the restaurant was under construction and was not operating," TMZ reported, citing a source.

Days later, a room became available on the fifth floor and Wendy was moved. She has remained there for months.

Wendy Williams’ 'memory remains intact' says employee

In the TMZ documentary, Wendy Williams mentioned that she had only breathed fresh air twice in 30 days when she went for dentist appointments.

Despite her placement in the memory unit, the employee said Wendy's memory is strong.

"Wendy doesn't have good and bad days. She's the same all the time," the source told TMZ, adding, "You can tell her something today and two weeks later she'll remember it. Her memory is fine."

"Yep, she was extremely happy to see Kev today," read the caption on one of the clips. In another post, Ronald stated, "Truth will prevail."
