New videos show Mitch McConnell barely moving, appearing confused before health crisis
WASHINGTON, DC: Newly obtained footage first reviewed by TMZ on Thursday, August 20, is raising fresh questions about Mitch McConnell's condition in the days before the longtime senator was reportedly found unconscious at his Washington, DC home.
The videos from a marathon Senate session show McConnell appearing unusually still and, in several instances, seemingly relying on visual cues from colleagues and Senate staff while voting.
The footage offers a striking look at the Kentucky Republican shortly before his sudden disappearance from public view.

Footage reveals Mitch McConnell's troubling moments
TMZ obtained several clips recorded on June 4, when senators were taking part in an exhausting “vote-a-rama” session that lasted approximately 18 hours and featured 29 votes.
One of the videos shows McConnell casting a “yea” vote.
Shortly afterward, a Senate clerk appears to approach McConnell’s chief of staff, apparently indicating that the senator had voted incorrectly.
Following a brief conversation, McConnell changes his vote to “nay.”
Another clip is even more striking. Republican Sen Bernie Moreno appears to give McConnell a thumbs-down gesture, and McConnell then mirrors the gesture before voting “nay.”
In a third video, a Senate clerk appears to provide McConnell with a voting cue from beneath the desk. McConnell follows the signal.
TMZ’s footage also includes extended snippets of McConnell sitting largely motionless while the Senate continues conducting business around him.
According to the report, he was shown remaining stationary for roughly six hours during the marathon session.
As promised, here are a few clips I found from the June 4 vote-a-rama showing Senate clerks assisting Senator Mitch McConnell, either reminding him to vote or helping guide him through the voting process. These are just three of many more clips to come. pic.twitter.com/UWcX8oV0pj

The footage does not establish what, if anything, was medically wrong with McConnell at the time.
But its significance has grown considerably because of what happened only days later.
Mitch McConnell's health remains unexplained
McConnell was reportedly found unconscious at his Washington home on June 14 and was subsequently hospitalized.
Since then, questions about the 83-year-old senator's health have persisted, as his representatives have repeatedly declined to provide detailed information about his condition or explain when he might resume his Senate duties.

Instead, McConnell’s office later released photographs of the senator with his wife, Elaine Chao, the former transportation secretary.
The images appeared to be intended to reassure the public that McConnell was alive and recovering, but they did not explain his prolonged absence from the Senate.
