NFL commentator Troy Aikman claims Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 'might actually be engaged'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift could be engaged already if NFL commentator Troy Aikman is to be believed. 

Aikman, the former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, during his podcast ‘Pardon My Take’, claimed that someone informed him about the news. 

“Someone actually reached out to me today and said they might actually be engaged,” he said on Wednesday, October 9, referring to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

During the program, Troy Aikman mistakenly referred to Taylor Swift as “missus,” and later added, “So I might’ve actually broken a story.”

Kelce had a fruitful match day against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 7, hitting nine receptions for 70 yards. 

“The missus likes it,” Aikman said and co-host Joe Buck corrected him by mentioning they are not  “married” yet during the game. 

To which, he responded with, “Oh I know. I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that,” reports Page Six.

On Wednesday, October 9, he again addressed the issue after receiving criticism online. “Was I on a tightrope right there?” he chimed.

“I’m thinking, ‘Gosh if this is newsworthy… like really?'” he said. 

However, People magazine confirmed that the two stars aren't engaged yet in its report. 

Kelce has the next week off from football for his team’s bye week. Meanwhile, Swift will resume her Eras Tour on October 18 in Miami.
