SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa has been fined $11,255 by the NFL for showing off his MAGA hat during a postgame interview on October 27, as per Whiskey Riff.

However, the amount is going to be insignificant for Bosa, as he reportedly signed a five-year contract extension worth $170 million last September. Moreover, after Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election, the 27-year-old said that any find is "well worth it."

NFL penalizes Nick Bosa for wearing a 'hat that contained a personal message'

Following the San Francisco 49ers' win over the Dallas Cowboys on Week 8, the defensive end crashed his teammate Brock Purdy's interview with NBC's Melissa Stark to show off his white hat, which had the words "Make America Great Again" emblazoned in gold.

According to the NFL, Bosa was fined for violating the league's uniform and equipment rules for "wearing a hat that contained a personal message."

Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8 of the NFL rulebook specifies what players are allowed or not allowed to wear after arriving at the stadium on the day of the game.

"Throughout the period on game day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office," states the rule.

The New York Post reported that when Bosa was asked why he made the political statement earlier this week, he replied, "Well, I don’t think my position on speaking about it is going to change. Clearly, the nation spoke, and we got what we got.”

Donald Trump supporters say Nick Bosa's fine is 'money well spent'

Netizens, especially supporters of Donald Trump, rallied around Nick Bosa after he was fined by the NFL.

One wrote, "Money well spent. Every penny," and another said, "He don't care. He has money. $11,255 is nothing to him."

A person remarked, "Well worth it! Small price for saving a nation," while someone else echoed, "Bosa doing God’s work. F all the noise."

"NFL stays woke. What a surprise," stated an individual. One more shared, "It was worth every penny. He supported the winner."
