Reflecting on the final conversation with her mother, Nicole Kidman said that Janelle Kidman advised her to "take care of yourself."

As Nicole prepared to board a plane, her mother gently urged her to slow down. “Maybe wait a minute, because you just need to take care of yourself, Nicky,” the actress recalled. Since then, she has taken her mother’s words to heart, making a conscious effort to focus on self-care.

“I’m doing that more, and I say that to other people in the world. Particularly women. We tend not to take care of ourselves," Nicole said, adding, "We take care of everybody else, but the last person is here."

The 'Babygirl' star also shared that her family, particularly the women in her life, have left her with meaningful advice.

Reflecting on her grandmother’s words, Nicole shared, “My grandmother left me with ‘Be happy,’ and my mother said ‘Take care of yourself.’”

A challenging year for Nicole Kidman

Janelle Kidman's death has been one of several challenges for Nicole Kidman over the past year, with reports suggesting that she and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, are considering a move back to Australia.

According to a source close to the family, the couple has had a difficult year, with Nicole being stretched thin as she managed a hectic schedule, including promoting her latest films and taking on new projects.

“Nicole and Keith have had their worst year ever, they’ve barely spent any time together, and she’s been on her own throughout some of her most distressing times," said an insider, as per Daily Mail.

Keith Urban’s potential career shift to support Nicole Kidman

Keith Urban, 57, is reportedly contemplating scaling back his touring schedule to be more present for his wife Nicole Kidman.

After the conclusion of his 10-date Las Vegas residency in February, the country star is said to be considering stepping back from the road to focus on supporting Nicole during this challenging time.

Nicole's grief has been supported by her family, including her younger sister, Antonia, who joined her in Sydney for their mother’s funeral.

Janelle, who died at the age of 84, died just hours before Nicole was honored with the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for 'Babygirl'.

At her mother’s funeral, Nicole was joined by Urban and their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14.
