Nicole Kidman’s ex Keith Urban performs 'Pink Pony Club' at Trump's Mar-a-Lago party
WASHINGTON, DC: Keith Urban covered Chappell Roan’s song ‘Pink Pony Club’ at a private event reportedly attended by Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, November 15.
The performance, hosted by Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt at the Trump-owned resort, came a month after news of Urban’s separation from Nicole Kidman in September 2025.
Urban’s disco cover tells the story of a woman who leaves her hometown for Southern California and takes a job as a dancer in a gay club in West Hollywood.
Keith Urban’s Mar-a-Lago party includes a cover of 'Pink Pony Club'
An Instagram user, @tali.florida, shared that Keith Urban’s set at the Mar-a-Lago party included a cover of ‘Pink Pony Club,’ a song about Chappell Roan’s journey to personal freedom at the gay bar The Abbey in West Hollywood.
The post also showed several videos of Donald Trump attending the event, with a caption noting that host Anthony Pratt “generously pledged $5 billion toward American manufacturing projects” and that there were “lots of French fries.”
In addition to the $5 billion pledge, Pratt had previously donated $10 million to Trump’s re-election campaign last fall. This came despite Trump calling the Australian businessman a “red-haired weirdo” in 2023.
To give Urban some credit, he has been covering ‘Pink Pony Club’ at live shows for several months. But one particular video of him performing the song now feels strikingly ironic.
In an April appearance on 'Intimate and Interactive,' a web series from the Canadian music channel Much, Urban called the track “a great song.” He added, “When I heard that song, I just almost cried. Who doesn’t wanna find a safe place, wherever that is? You just wanna find your people, doesn’t matter what that is, just somewhere where you finally realize you belong there. God, that speaks to me.”
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman separate after 19 years of marriage
Keith Urban performed at Mar-a-Lago a month after his estranged wife, Nicole Kidman, filed for divorce on September 30, following reports that the couple had separated after 19 years of marriage.
An insider told reporters in October, “The two had grown apart quietly over time, and by the end, the decision to separate was more about acceptance than surprise. Keith has moved on and has been open with Nicole about where he stands.” The source added that Kidman’s decision to file divorce papers was “a long time coming.”
Urban and Kidman married in 2006, a year after they met, and share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman also has two older children, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. The source said Urban has embraced his new single life: “He’s not dating one person but is open and has moved from the marriage with Nicole.”
In her divorce filing, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” and requested to be named the primary residential parent of Sunday and Faith.
Her parenting plan grants the girls 306 days of the year with her and 59 days with Urban, including every other weekend. Neither Urban nor Kidman has publicly commented on the split.
In mid-October, Urban shared a playful, and viral, moment with a fan during a concert. “I’m not going to like your name?” Urban asked. “It’s Nicole,” the fan replied, causing Urban to fall backward onto the ground, smiling.
