WASHINGTON, DC: Robert F Kennedy Jr's running mate stated that their campaign's alliance with Donald Trump constitutes a “true coalition.”

Kennedy's choice for vice president, Nicole Shanahan, discussed her support of Trump on Monday, August 26, with Chris Cuomo of NewsNation. She implied that should Trump win the presidency in November, he would assign Kennedy to a position in his Cabinet.

Nicole Shanahan would love to see a coalition government

“I would love to see this as a true coalition government. You know, this is not something we talk about here in the United States, but in other democracies, coalitions are very, very common,” she said on NewsNation’s 'Cuomo'.

“So, in a coalition government, Bobby would be in charge to represent our movement, our party, our voices within this Cabinet and, and I have full faith that, you know, Trump is going to honor that,” she added.

Robert F Kennedy Jr suspends his presidential campaign, endorses Donald Trump

Robert F Kennedy Jr declared last week that he would be supporting Donald Trump and putting his presidential candidacy on hold.

Kennedy stated that he had "no commitments" to work for Trump in his administration should he win the election, but the former president's transition team will include the independent candidate on Tuesday, according to the Trump campaign, per The Hill.

Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman from Hawaii, was also appointed by Trump to the transition committee. “We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness,” senior campaign advisor Brian Hughes said in a statement.

Nicole Shanahan says Donald Trump's endorsement 'was amazing'

Additionally, Nicole Shanahan informed Chris Cuomo on Monday that it was "amazing" that they "crossed the chasm" by endorsing Donald Trump on Friday.

“[Kennedy] is front and center, focusing on what Americans care about most, and he had almost 30,000 people on stage on Friday shouting his name, and you know, President Trump, to his credit, put out a hand, shook his hand and said, ‘Let’s do this. Let’s engage on ideas that matter. Let’s engage on policies that matter. We don’t have to agree on everything,’” she said.

“This is not us being absorbed into the Trump camp by any measure. This is a partnership. This is a meeting of the minds with strong boundaries and expectations,” Shanahan added.

Internet mocks Nicole Shanahan as she hopes for a true coalition government

Netizens ridiculed Robert F Kennedy Jr's running mate for expressing interest in a real coalition government led by Donald Trump and RFK Jr.

One X user tweeted, "True coalition of nut jobs." Another added, "The Russian asset nutcase coalition… #traitors."

"Coalition of what? For what purpose? Give me a break…," remarked one, while someone else wrote, "Awfully nice of her now that RFK tossed her onto the scrap heap of broken dreams. LOL!"
