WASHINGTON, DC: MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday, December 30, criticized Joe Rogan and other prominent 'manosphere' podcasters for turning against Donald Trump after helping him win the election.

She used her show to highlight how these influencers have shifted from praising the President to distancing themselves from his latest actions.

Podcasters who helped Trump win now distance themselves

During her show, ‘Deadline: White House,’ Wallace showed a series of clips featuring Rogan, Shawn Ryan, and Andrew Schulz who have gone from praising Trump to criticizing him on various policies.

She noted that many individuals who were closely associated with Trump as recently as last year are already expressing public regrets, stating, “Many people who might have associated themselves with Donald Trump, even this time last year, are already having some second thoughts and saying so publicly. It’s easy to see in the so-called manosphere.”

Nicolle Wallace points out Joe Rogan’s changing narrative on Trump

Wallace pointed out how Joe Rogan’s comments have changed. She compared a video from October 2024, where he said Trump looked young and energetic, to his newer comments where he says negative things about him.

In the earlier footage, Rogan claimed, “Dude just didn’t age. It’s so strange. It barely affected him.”

However, in a recent episode with Tom Segura, Rogan shifted his stance to agree that Trump is 'losing it,' while also blasting the administration’s mass deportation policies.

Wallace said she felt embarrassed by Rogan's past compliments, saying, "I hope he cringes as much as I did — and I’ve never even met him — that he ever said, quote, he didn’t age at all."

Nicolle Wallace rejects 'heroic' label for podcasters' recent criticism

While Wallace admitted she may have underestimated the reach of these podcasters during the election, She told her guests, “I want to issue a disclaimer. I’m not playing those clips because any of those men are heroic. I’m playing those clips because all three of them contributed to Donald Trump’s victory in an important way, in a way that maybe people like me didn’t appreciate.”

She concluded by suggesting these figures are now trying to escape the political fallout of the administration they helped install, noting that the way these men 'sucked up to him and helped him win and now — again, I don’t know their purposes, I only see what is public-facing — can’t get far enough away from the stench of his political failures is stunning.'
