NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace took a jab at SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly for her "confounding" turn toward making "really angry" content after spending years being "one of the best to ever do cable" on Fox News and NBC.

During the Thursday, June 19, episode of 'On with Kara Swisher', Wallace told the host that she liked how independent media has flourished in recent times as she highlighted Kelly’s recent comments to The New York Times, per Daily Beast.

In March 2025, the former Fox host suggested to the New York Times that independent media creators rely on the relationships they’ve built with their audiences.

Wallace agreed to her statement and said, "I think she’s right".

Similarly, Swisher agreed and claimed that she met with Kelly for drinks as the conservative firebrand weighed venturing into independent spaces. Swisher said, "Just remember, Megyn, I did help you!"

Moreover, the two then discussed Kelly’s turn at Fox News, where she earned praise for how she questioned politicians on 'The Kelly File'.

Wallace also praised Kelly and said, "I watched her every night at 9 o’clock. I mean, she’s one of the best to ever do cable, to ever do the news."

"I don’t watch her anymore, but I thought her observations about where the industry was heading were right," she added.

However, Wallace soon turned her attention toward the content Kelly currently produces on her podcast and YouTube series 'The Megyn Kelly Show'.

Swisher agreed with Wallace and said that Kelly’s show was "terrible", while Wallace said her pivot was a "confounding choice", per the outlet.

Siwsher said, "I think it’s just terrible and angry, really angry, at especially women," while Wallace chimed in, "Yes! She hates us more!"

The two also joked about how Kelly may attack the pair over their comments on her respective show.

"She’ll have a show on this soon. So, good, great to give you content, Megyn!" Swisher said.

Megyn Kelly calls Nicolle Wallace a 'navel gazer'

Megyn Kelly took a jab at Wallace and called her a "navel gazer" earlier in June, as Wallace launched her new podcast 'The Best People' which featured MSNBC colleague Rachel Maddow as her first guest.

Notably, Kelly was reportedly put off by a meme that Maddow received from her friend, which read, "Born to Dilly Dally, Forced to Fight Fascists."

Interestingly, this was not the first time Kelly slammed Wallace during her show. In March 2025, she criticized Wallace for her remarks, that included negative comments about DJ Daniel, the young cancer survivor who was recognized by President Donald Trump during his State of the Union address, according to the Mirror.

Wallace faced backlash for drawing a connection between the teenager and Jan 6, per the outlet.

She said that Daniel likely benefited from some cancer research, which has since been cut by the Trump administration, before she drew a parallel between the boy's aspiration to be a police officer one day and Jan 6.

Kelly slammed Wallace, stating, "She saw the same thing we saw, where his eyes got all big when president Trump said he was going to made an honorary Secret Service member, he was excited, the hug, he threw his arms around the Secret Service Director."

"It was a sincere embrace, and that's where she went? Like, 'I hope he doesn't die on President Trump's Capitol Hill,'" Kelly added.
