LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nikki Glaser is reportedly happy with her performance as the first solo female host of the Golden Globes and seems quite satisfied with the paycheck she received for this hosting gig.

But the comedian also claimed that her compensation was less than a former male Globes host, as reported by Page Six.

During Monday’s, January 6, episode of SiriusXM’s ‘The Howard Stern Show’, host Stern called award function hosting “a tremendous amount of work” and stated that he believes the Globes hosts are usually not paid well.

Nikki Glaser, who hosted the star-studded 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, replied, “I got paid pretty — I’m good with that.”

She also noted, “There was a past host who said how much he got paid in his monologue and I got less than that, but that’s OK. I’ll get more next year.”

Glaser said she was grateful for getting the offer. “This first year, when you’re just trying to prove yourself, I honestly would’ve done it for free. It’s an insane platform to be on. It’s not about the money for me," she said.

Did Nikki Glaser seemingly refer to 2023 Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael?

Nikki Glaser, 40, however, did not reveal her paycheck nor name the former host.

But it has been speculated that she was talking about the 2023 Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael, who declared in his monologue that he was paid $500,000 for the job.

Carmichael, at the time, in his monologue had also mentioned about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's (HFPA) lack of diversity.

The 37-year-old during his performance said, as per HOLA!, “I'll tell you why I'm here.”

He then explained, “I'm here because I'm Black. ... This show, the Golden Globe Awards, did not air last year because of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — which I won't say they were racist, but they didn't have a second Black member until George Floyd died.”

Also, taking shots at Hollywood scandals, she added, “I predict five years from now, when you're watching old clips of this on YouTube, you'll see someone in one of the crowd shots and you'll be like, 'Oh, my God, that was before they caught that guy!’”
