FRANCE, PARIS: Noah Lyles, the American sprinting sensation, has maintained his confidence despite recent setbacks, including contracting Covid-19 during the 2024 Paris Olympic games.

Lyles, known for his quick wit and even quicker feet, recently found himself in the spotlight not just for his athletic achievements but for his ongoing feud with Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill, as per Marca.

Noah Lyles appears to forget Tyreek Hill's name during a recent interview

When asked about Tyreek Hill's recent comments, Noah Lyles responded with a playful jab, claiming he only knew Hill by his nickname, "Cheetah," and couldn’t recall his actual name.

"What's the Cheetah guy from football, what's his name? I can't remember his name," Lyles quipped during an interview. The remark was a light-hearted dig in response to Hill's criticism following Lyles' performance at the Olympics.

Lyles' humorous approach comes in the wake of Hill's bold comments after the sprinter secured a bronze medal in the men's 200-meter dash and a gold in the 100-meter dash at the Paris Olympics.

Lyles had competed in the 200-meter race just a day after testing positive for Covid-19, a fact that didn’t earn him any sympathy from Hill.

The NFL wide receiver quickly challenged Lyles, claiming he could outpace the Olympian in a race.

Hill, known for his blistering speed on the football field, didn’t hold back in his critique of Lyles.

Following Lyles' Olympic performance, Hill asserted, "Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him." He went on to question Lyles' illness, saying, "Then he wants to come out and pretend like he's sick. I feel like that's horseradish."

Hill confidently declared that he could outrun Lyles, albeit by a narrow margin. "I would beat Noah Lyles. I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill stated.

Hill is not the only athlete to express disappointment with Lyles. New York Knicks guard Josh Hart also chimed in, admitting that he wanted Lyles to lose at the Paris Olympics.

During a recent appearance on the 'Roommates Show,' Hart confessed, "I really wanted him to lose. Damn, I wanted him to lose. I think this was the first time that all of NBA Twitter banded together just to hate. I was hating, and then I was like, damn, you know what, respect. I can’t even hate anymore."
