'Not Mr Right': Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian warn Kim against getting serious with Odell Beckham Jr
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have purportedly asked Kim Kardashian to be cautious amid her romance with the NFL star Odell Beckham Jr.
Though the SKIMS co-owner and the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver are rumored to be seeing each other since September 2023, it has been reported recently that they have gone exclusive in their relationship.
However, sources close to the Kardashians recently dished out to Life & Style per OK! Magazine that the momager and the youngest Kardashian sister have asked Kim to be little careful in her romance with Odell.
Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian think Kim should not ‘babysit’ Odell
Amid the rumor that the SKKN founder and the athlete went exclusive, they were spotted for the first time together during the Super Bowl weekend.
However, during the trip, he was also seen partying all by himself at the Spearmint Rhino strip club, which has reportedly touched a nerve with Kim’s family.
The insider dished that Kris and Khloe allegedly said, “The last thing Kim wants to do is police Odell,” before adding a word of caution, “But she doesn’t want a guy who’s still doing these types of things, either.”
The tipster further added that Kris and Khloe even asked Kim to be careful amid her romance with Odell after finding out about the incident. “Kim shouldn’t need to babysit the guy she’s dating,” they reportedly said.
Saying that ‘The Kardashians’ star’s friends and family asked her to take it slow in the relationship with Odell, the tipster concluded, “So, maybe, Odell isn’t Mr Right.”
Another insider previously shared that Khloe is skeptical of Kim’s future with Odell because of her past experience with the 31-year-old athlete. In 2016, Khloe was reportedly having a fling with Odell. Nevertheless, she hasn't stopped the past relationship from bestowing her blessing to Kim.
An insider shared, “Khloe has fully given Kim her blessing to go for it,” before adding, “It was nothing serious between Odell and Khloé — they had a few flirtatious moments. Khloe ultimately wants Kim to find someone and be happy.”
Kim Kardashian reportedly wants to make a commitment
Another source shared recently that while Kim is interested in making it a committed relationship, Odell is not interested in anything “more than super casual.”
The insider said per OK! Magazine, "They’ve hooked up multiple times over the past several months," while adding, "But Odell draws the line about anything more than super casual."
The NFL star has not, however, showed enthusiasm about committing to the relationship. Kim’s pals shared, "He has given all the usual excuses about not wanting the limelight and needing to focus on his game.”
The exasperated insider added, "At least go out to dinner with her!" and noted, "She says their hookups are super sexy and fun, but she wants more."
The tipsters concluded, "On the one hand there’s this desire to give Odell an ultimatum, but she doesn’t want to come across as needy and drive him away. She’s been biding her time, but it really does annoy her that he won’t even step out at Nobu! She’s between a rock and a hard place.”
Another source, nevertheless, claimed the alleged couple is no rush to get "serious" as they continue hanging out together.
Kourtney Kardashian once said the Kardashian women pick 'bad partners' due to 'generational trauma'
During the season 4 finale of 'The Kardashians', Kourtney shared that her own therapy sessions have taught her that they are prone to choosing "bad partners" because of "generational trauma" starting with their grandmother - Kris Jenner's mother Mary Jo “MJ” Houghton, per Life & Style.
She said to Khloe, "I didn’t start a self-awareness journey knowing what I was doing,” and added, “I started therapy through a toxic relationship and then learned so much about myself, about my family, about why I do certain things, about our childhood wounds, about how they show up in intimate relationships, generational trauma.”
Kourtney added, “There’s certain patterns to break. You don’t want to pass things down to your kids.”
When Khloe asked, “And you think picking bad partners is a genetic thing?” the Lemme founder replied, “I think it’s generational. It’s from MJ."
She continued, “We all have picked people we thought we could change different things about them and we can’t."
