LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Just days after tying the knot with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in a glamorous celebration in Venice, one of Lauren Sanchez’s wedding dresses has reportedly gone missing.

The incident occurred during what was hailed as one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year, with reports suggesting that a possible party crasher may be behind the suspected theft.

Lauren Sanchez wore Dolce & Gabbana at her wedding, but one of her 27 dresses is missing

Sanchez had 27 designer gowns to choose from for her wedding festivities, each uniquely created by a different fashion house.

While the dress she wore during the actual ceremony was not the one reported stolen, one of the other gowns from the collection has mysteriously vanished, according to Corriere della Sera.

The bride wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown for her nuptials to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The dress featured lacy floral sleeves, a high neckline, a fitted bodice, and a long skirt with an oversized train, accented by buttons running down the front.

Before her big day, Sanchez shared her thoughts during a Vogue pre-wedding photoshoot. “It went from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and where I am right now. I am a different person than I was five years ago,” said Sanchez in her interview.

“I researched pictures of brides in the 1950s,” she added. “I wanted to reflect back, and I saw Sophia Loren, and her hands were like this, and she was in high lace, up to the neck, and I said, 'That’s it. That’s the dress.'”

“It is a departure from what people expect,” said Sanchez. “From what I expect – but it’s very much me.”

Domenico Dolce says Lauren Sanchez was ‘very dynamico’ while designing gown

Fashion designer Domenico Dolce reflected on the creative process behind the bridal gown.

“At the very beginning, with every wedding dress, I ask the lady, 'Tell me what you dream,’” he told Vogue. “Because I want it to be right, and she’s very fast, very dynamico.”

He continued, “She was about to go to the moon, to space. Much was happening. It’s a very important day for the lady, and the dress helps in this language.”

Though the missing dress wasn’t the primary wedding gown, reports suggest that an unknown woman, dressed formally, slipped past security and gained access to the event.

The intruder was eventually “kindly escorted out,” but it's suspected she may have taken the missing dress. No further details about the uninvited guest have been released, and it remains unclear which of the 27 dresses was stolen, Hello! reported.

Internet reacts to Lauren Sanchez's missing wedding dress

Social media users were quick to react with disbelief and humor over the reported theft. “Soon to be on sale on Amazon Marketplace 😁😁😁😁,” joked one Facebook user.

Another commenter asked, “How does that even happen???” while a different user wondered, “Cameras not working????”

Some expressed skepticism about the security at such a high-profile event. “So much for security,” wrote one. “Sold on Amazon,” joked another.

“Maybe it’ll show up on eBay in time for the divorce. This won’t last long,” quipped one commenter, while someone else criticized the lavish affair, writing, “27 dresses for a wedding is absolutely absurd.”
