Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos allegedly already got married in US

This came after several tipsters claimed that the pair already got legally married in the US before the lavish celebrations began in Venice.
A Florida-based attorney reportedly said, “Often a marriage in a foreign country is not valid in the USA, or creates other issues, so yes it is likely they are already married.”
Also, as per an Italian source, “By law, civil weddings in Italy must typically be officiated at the town hall. However, the city can designate another venue as legally valid for the ceremony.”
“According to the councilor, there were no signs that this had occurred, nor that the necessary documents for non-residents to marry in Italy had been submitted,” they added.
Official says Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos won’t ‘have a civil ceremony in Venice’

Even a Venice official claimed, “I can totally rule out that they will have a civil ceremony in Venice under Italian law.”
However, not just the wedding. If Sanchez and Bezos want divorce in future, it “can only happen in the state of primary residence.”
As per a lawyer, “They can get married anywhere, as their prenup would generally be drafted to ensure its enforceability everywhere. Divorce can only happen in the state of primary residence. So if they live in Florida, no matter where they marry or what the prenup says, they would have to divorce in Florida.”
“Likewise, if they left Florida and moved to New York as their primary residence, they would have to divorce in New York. A prenup cannot confer jurisdiction on a state to grant a divorce without residency in that state,” they added.
