Orlando Bloom says he and Katy Perry are cheerleaders for each other as he reflects on their relationship
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Orlando Bloom attributes his success to the unwavering support of his fiancee Katy Perry.
Speaking to ET, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor revealed the pivotal role Perry played in encouraging him throughout the filming of his latest series 'Orlando Bloom: To the Edge' which involved him engaging in extreme sports and adventure activities.

Orlando Bloom says Katy Perry pushes him to be the 'best version' of himself
Reflecting on the 'Wide Awake' singer and himself supporting each other, Bloom said, "It's so encouraging… we're both, I think, you know, cheerleaders for each other."
"She definitely pushes me to be the best version of myself and we both hold each other accountable as best we can," he added.
Emphasizing the foundation of their nearly 10-year relationship, the actor said, "That's part of what, you know, works for us as a couple, trying to evolve."
"Her support was, you know, obviously immensely important and always is," he shared.

Katy Perry praised Orlando Bloom for being her 'support system'
In 2023, Bloom reciprocated Perry's support by attending her final show in a nearly two-year Las Vegas residency.
As the singer performed emotionally, Bloom was spotted in the crowd dancing along with their daughter, Daisy Dove, three.
At one point in the show, the 'This Is How We Do' singer expressed her gratitude to her fiance as she said, "To my partner, Orlando. For being an incredible support system [and] an amazing father. I love you."
He further reflected on Perry's support during the filming of 'Orlando Bloom: To the Edge' as he was involved in several risky activities including wingsuiting, free rock climbing, and free diving.

"I think, in some way, she maybe didn't fully grasp quite what extreme I was going to," he shared with a laugh.
Inside Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship
In January 2016, Perry and Bloom met at Golden Globes. The pair began dating shortly after and split in 2017. However, they got back together in 2018 and announced their engagement in 2019 on Valentine's Day.

Perry and Bloom welcomed their now three-year-old daughter Daisy in August 2020.
Bloom is also father to 12-year-old son Flynn whom he shares with his ex-wife and Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr.
When asked if his children motivated him to face his fears, the actor said, "One hundred percent."
"Daisy's only three-and-a-half, but she did see some clips of me and she was like, 'Daddy's flying,'… And she used to say, 'Daddy's an airplane,' you know it was like, 'Daddy fly!'" he added.
