Oscars 2025 viewers call award show a 'snoozefest' as they slam repetitive jokes and 'corny' speeches

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Oscars 2025 have recently concluded with ‘Anora’ emerging as the most successful film with five big award wins.
Despite the 97th Academy Awards having a number of high moments, the ceremony, held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Sunday, March 2, failed to impress a majority of the fans as they called out the Academy for hosting one of the most “boring” Oscars ever.
"The magic, the madness, the grandeur and the joy of film worldwide is gonna be with us forever."

Not only did the fans criticize the ceremony for being a “snoozefest,” but viewers were also left unimpressed with the steady flow of lame jokes and curtailed award-winning speeches from the winners, reported Daily Mail.
The 2025 Oscars concluded with ‘Anora’ and ‘The Brutalist’ landing big wins
Some of the biggest productions of the year, including ‘Dune: Part Two’, ‘Wicked’, ‘Emilia Perez’, ‘Conclave’, ‘The Brutalist’, and 'Anora' were competing for the top honors at this year’s Academy Awards.
At the end of the night, ‘Anora’ emerged as the most successful movie with five big awards, including Best Picture, Best Leading Actress for Mikey Madison and Best Director for Sean Baker. Madison’s win also came at the expense of Demi Moore, who was competing for the Best Actress honor for her career-turning role in ‘The Substance’.
Apart from Madison’s Best Actress win, Adrien Brody’s Best Actor honor for ‘The Brutalist’ also left a section of the fans disheartened as he beat the efforts of Timothee Chalamet in ‘A Complete Unknown’.

While Kieran Culkin took home the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in ‘A Real Pain’, Zoe Saldana emerged victorious for her role in ‘Emilia Perez’ for the Best Actress in a Supporting role.
Despite the criticism, however, the Oscars - hosted by Conan O’Brien - did have its high points, including the 'Deadpool’ act, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's touching performance, and Timothee Chalamet’s adorable PDA with girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
