Timothee Chalamet’s fans inconsolable after his Best Actor snub at Oscars 2025: ‘You deserved it so bad’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Timothee Chalamet’s fans are left heartbroken after the actor missed out on getting his hands on the Oscars for the second time.

The 29-year-old actor, who was up for the Best Actor nod for his work in the Bob Dylan biopic, ‘The Complete Unknown’, lost out on the big honor to ‘The Brutalist’ actor Adrien Brody during the 2025 Oscars, which took place at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 2. 

Fresh out of a SAG Award triumph, Chalamet was nominated for the Best Actor Oscars where he competed against the likes of Adrien Brody for ‘The Brutalist’, Ralph Fiennes for ‘Conclave’, Colman Domingo for ‘Sing Sing’, and Sebastian Stan for ‘The Apprentice’.

Timothee Chalamet misses out on an Oscar for the second time

Chalamet appeared in a butter yellow Givenchy suit at the 97th Oscars as the star of the two Best Picture nominated films - ‘The Complete Unknown’ and ‘Dune: Part Two’. 

The ‘Wonka’ actor was previously nominated for the Best Actor honor in 2018 for his romance drama ‘Call Me By Your Name’, which he ultimately lost out to Gary Oldman. 

Nevertheless, his two Oscar nominations made him the youngest two-time Best Actor Oscar nominee since James Dean, per USA Today.

The ‘Little Women’ star’s double Oscar snub did not sit well with his fans, who took to social media to vent out their frustration on the heartbreaking loss.

Timothee Chalamet's fans were not happy after the actor missed out on the top honor at the 2025 Oscars. Some of the fans even compared him to Leonardo DiCaprio as they claimed the 'Dune' star would at least be 45 before he gets his hand on the Oscars. 

One of the social media users noted, "Watching timothee chalamet lose the oscar in 2018 and now in 2025."

Another heartbroken fan commented, "Timothee chalamet the oscar will be yours one day #oscars."

"I see him being the next Leo in this regard," declared someone else while drawing comparison between him and DiCaprio. 

Another fan joked that after the snub, Chalamet would soon be back in the acting lab to prepare for his next Oscar-worthy role. "Timothée Chalamet getting back in the lab after being denied the Oscar for best male actor," they said.

"Oh timothée chalamet, you deserved it so bad," mourned another heartbroken fan. 

Someone else noted, "They’re not gonna give Timothée an Oscar until he’s goddamn 45 like he truly is the next Leo."

Another fan added wistfully, "We really could of had cillian murphy say “and the winner is timothee chalamet” but noooooooo #Oscars2025."

Someone else, not satisfied with Adrien Brody's win, wrote, "Timothee chalamet lose the #Oscars After taking singing lessons for five years, after gaining weight, he did everything he could to deliver the best character possible, only to lose to Adrien Brody, who used AI."
