While the audience reacted with a mix of laughter and gasps, the joke didn’t sit well with everyone. Social media users quickly expressed their disapproval, with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing, “Not to be too woke, but that was wildly inappropriate.”

Another commented, “The audience didn’t seem to laugh much reacted more with a shocked emotion lol."

One person remarked, "Reducing Taylor to her past relationships is wrong, but doing it in a way that objectifies her is outright vile," while another added, "I don't necessarily find it inappropriate, but it is a terrible joke. Like, you're implying Kelce only became popular from dating Swift."

"Hannah Burner is not funny," an individual remarked.

Another added, "Guys it’s not inappropriate because of where the joke was said, it’s inappropriate because a totally invasive, degrading, and sexual joke was made about a woman who has historically been sexualized publicly in gross ways when she wasn’t even there. “it’s a roast” she didn’t go."

Kelce’s typically confident public persona appeared slightly off. “At times, his teeth looked clenched, and he kept his head bowed — unusual for someone who thrives in the spotlight,” James added.

James speculated that Kelce’s behavior might stem from the weight of a significant decision. “If he’s considering proposing, these signs of nervousness would make sense,” she explained. “However, they could also reflect a reluctance to commit while feeling pressured to take the next step.”

Interestingly, Kelce appeared to double down on gentlemanly gestures during the outing. “He’s been making more of an effort lately, using touching and steering rituals to treat Taylor like a princess,” James observed.
