While announcing the 'Prince of Darkness' death, the family requested privacy and did not reveal his cause of death even as the rock legend was battling multiple health scares, including Parkinson's.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the statement from his family read.

"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” they said in the post, which was also shared on the rock legend's X and Instagram accounts.

Osbourne's death came only weeks after he performed his final farewell show with Black Sabbath at their 'Back to the Beginning' charity event in Birmingham on July 5, which benefited Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Cure Parkinson’s.

The day before his death, Osbourne posted a backstage photo from the event, showing the sign above his dressing room.

His name was printed at the top of the poster, accompanied by a picture of Osbourne and his original bandmates, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward

“Back to the Beginning,” it read. “The Final Show.”

Osbourne delivered some of his biggest solo hits from a black winged throne.

He was visibly moved while performing the ballad "Mama I’m Coming Home", bringing an emotional close to his decades-long journey that began more than 50 years ago.

Emerging from beneath the stage on a black throne, Osbourne addressed the crowd.

“Let the madness begin!” he shouted before starting his solo set, which displayed his enduring vocal strength and energy.

“I don’t know what to say, man,” he later added. “I’ve been laid up for like six years. You have no idea how I feel — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’re all… special. Let’s go crazy, come on,” Osbourne said.

Ozzy Osbourne's 'final bow' to be made into a film

Though seated, Osbourne summoned every ounce of his hell-raising spirit as he ended with 'Iron Man' and 'Paranoid'.

“Go f*****g crazy, it’s the last song,” he said before the latter.

The 'Back to the Beginning' concert at Villa Park in Birmingham was a one-of-a-kind event. It will condense the all-day event into a 100-minute film titled 'Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow'.
