Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's whirlwind romance 'has been genuine' despite PR stunt claims: Sources

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s steamy off-screen chemistry is quite real, at least according to a new report that’s throwing cold water on claims their romance is nothing more than a publicity stunt.
The 58-year-old 'Baywatch' bombshell and the 72-year-old 'Taken' star have been glued to each other since the press tour for 'The Naked Gun' kicked off in July. They have been spotted trading kisses, cuddles, and more in front of the cameras.

Sources say Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's relationship isn't just for show
While some outlets insisted their flirty antics were just a marketing ploy, sources close to the pair are hitting back hard.
“Everything between them has been genuine. Neither would ever take part in a publicity stunt. They have a great time. Neither of them needs the publicity,” one insider told People.
Another source doubled down. “Their relationship isn’t just for show. They have a real connection. There’s no incentive for either of them to stage something like this," they insisted.

TMZ alleges Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's PR teams and Paramount cooked up 'romance'
Not everyone’s buying it. TMZ dropped a bomb on Friday, August 29, reporting that Anderson and Neeson’s PR teams, with Paramount Pictures, allegedly cooked up the “romance” while 'The Naked Gun' was still in production. According to the outlet, the co-stars didn’t see each other from the end of filming in July 2024 until the press tour began.
The outlet also claimed the supposed lovebirds never had a real date, and any dinners they shared were strictly business, with personal assistants hovering nearby. A People source, however, slammed the idea as “ridiculous.”
Billy and Lisa just revealed that Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson's romance was completely fake! 😱 It was all PR for their movie and we totally fell for it. They're saying it's kinda beneath them at their age... thoughts? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/onMbLPoRAQ

Meanwhile, a different insider whispered to Page Six that sparks definitely flew, but the fire never caught. “There was instant chemistry, but it never developed into an intimate relationship,” the source said, adding that friends of the stars were “rooting for them.”
Still, the outlet noted the pair’s connection is real even if it never crossed the friendship line. “They will always be friends and have a connection,” the tipster said.
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's PDA
Whatever the case, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have been giving fans plenty to talk about.

During their joint 'Today' show appearance in July, the two practically melted into each other with arms wrapped tight and lips locked in a surprise kiss before turning to the cameras looking cheeky and caught in the act.
When host Craig Melvin pressed them on whether the romance was real, both playfully dodged the question. Still, Neeson admitted there was some genuine spark.
“I had never met Pamela before,” he said. “We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors.”
Anderson nodded along. “It’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe.’ And that’s what we did," Neeson added.
A source close to the film told People the heat wasn’t entirely scripted. “It’s a budding romance in the early stages. It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” they said, adding the two were “enjoying each other’s company.”
Family affair and Hollywood legacy
By the time 'The Naked Gun' premiere rolled around in New York on July 28, the duo brought their respective children along.
Anderson strutted the red carpet with her sons, Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Meanwhile, Neeson was joined by his sons, Micheal Neeson, 30, and Daniel Neeson, 28, from his late wife Natasha Richardson.
The film itself is a legacy sequel to the original 'Naked Gun' trilogy that starred Leslie Nielsen as bumbling Lt Frank Drebin. In the new flick, Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr while Anderson turns up as Beth Davenport, a sultry crime novelist who doubles as his love interest.
