LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Social media users experienced relief when the rumor about the disbandment of the American rock band, Paramore, proved to be false, following a wipeout of their social media presence.

It was revealed that Paramore is now a free agent, as their contract with Atlantic Records has concluded.

Adding to their recent activities, Paramore recently participated in Taylor Swift's Eras Tour leg in August 2023.

Paramore becomes free agent and confirms they are not breaking up

According to Variety, the recent removal of most of Paramore's online presence is not due to a band breakup but rather the band becoming a free agent as their 20-year deal with Atlantic Records concludes.

As reported by Variety, the band's longstanding website, paramore.net, now leads to a '404 Not Found' message, causing concern among fans. The site was taken down on the day the group's deal with Atlantic Records ended.

Variety notes that in addition to the website, most of Paramore's social media accounts have been wiped clean. The Twitter and Instagram pages, with 5.3 million and 3.5 million followers, respectively, show zero posts.

The Threads account appears to have been deleted, while the Facebook account still includes archived posts at the time of writing.

Furthermore, according to Variety, Paramore's Instagram account posted a story apologizing for canceling a headline appearance at iHeart's AlterEgo concert in Southern California.

The statement mentioned, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13. The band apologizes for any inconvenience.”

Despite concerns from fans, sources suggest that the cancellation is not indicative of a breakup but rather schedule issues. According to Variety, Paramore has a busy year of touring ahead, primarily joining Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Europe, starting on May 9 in Paris and concluding on August 20 in London.

As per Billboard, Paramore made their debut in 2005 with 'All We Know Is Falling.' All six of their albums, including the self-titled fourth release, have charted on the Billboard 200, with the latter reaching the top.

They've charted 11 songs on the Hot 100, including the top 10 hits 'Ain't It Fun', the last single from the self-titled album.
