KANSAS CITY, KANSAS: Since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got into a relationship, the media and fans have followed the couple’s every move.

ESPN’s Pat McAfee recently praised Kelce for how well he’s handling the spotlight amid Swift's relationship. 

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop singer have been in a relationship since September 2023.

Pat McAfee expressed his admiration for Travis Kelce during an appearance on the latest episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, highlighting the impact of his high-profile relationship on the football world.

McAfee couldn’t help but commend Travis Kelce for how he has represented both himself and the sport.

"I assume you hear it a lot, Travis, you and Taylor’s relationship is great for the sport," McAfee said. 

"Like it is getting introduced to so many people, and you are and have been the perfect representation for our sport too, I think," he said according to Fox News.

"Personally, genuinely, I think there’s no other human that could do what you’re doing right now, and how you’re doing it is awesome," McAfee added.

He praised the football star, saying, "You need to know that all of us are incredibly ... proud of the way you’re representing all of us, dude," McAfee said.

Pat McAfee also noted how Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift has brought new audiences to football.

"Your relationship is exposing the sport to a lot of people, and I think a lot of people are falling in love with it," McAfee said.

Kelce, after a slow start to the season, has caught 16 passes for 159 yards over his last two games. The Kansas City Chiefs have continued their strong performance, with a 5-0 start to the season.

The Chiefs aim to keep their unbeaten streak going as they face the San Francisco 49ers in a highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch from last season.

Kelce worries a loss will mean his relationship will get criticized.

“I just got to keep winning,” he noted during the podcast. “If we lose a game, it’s going to f*****g rain down, baby.”

“So we gotta keep winning, staying on top," he added.

During the conversation, Pat McAfee asked Travis Kelce what it’s been like to meet so many high-profile celebrities through his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Kelce admitted that the experience has been surreal, saying, "At this point, it’s just, you can’t fathom what’s going on."

He added, "So it’s just like a dream. You’re just like, oh yeah, no, you’re not surprised by the next thing that comes into your life or the next person that walks into the door." 

Kelce also acknowledged his good fortune, saying, "Yeah, it’s crazy. It’s insane. I don’t know how I got to live this silly ... life, man, but I am. I’m definitely fortunate for it, for sure," he added.
