'Pathetic ambush': Boebert goes after media grilling her on Trump aide Natalie Harp
WASHINGTON, DC: Lauren Boebert, on Friday, August 21, pushed back hard against questions surrounding President Donald Trump's close aide Natalie Harp, calling the media’s interest in their relationship a “transparent, pathetic ambush.”
Boebert said Harp’s critics are trying to turn her loyalty and dedication to Trump into a scandal, arguing that the attacks say more about the media’s priorities than the White House aide herself.
I was asked by a member of the media about Natalie Harp, and here’s exactly what I said:

Lauren Boebert blasts media
Boebert took to X to address what she described as an attempt by reporters to provoke her into criticizing Harp.
“This line of questioning about Natalie is a transparent, pathetic ambush, and everyone sees it,” Boebert said.
Rather than engage with speculation about Harp, the Colorado Republican focused on her work inside the administration.
She described Harp as “dedicated” and “professional,” while portraying her as one of several aides who remain intensely committed to carrying out Trump’s agenda.
Boebert also pushed back on the idea that Harp’s proximity to Trump should itself be treated as suspicious.
“President Trump has always been extraordinarily accessible,” she said, adding that he has surrounded himself with people who are “fiercely loyal” and work around the clock.
The congresswoman said her own experience dealing with members of Trump’s team had been positive, arguing that aides and volunteers she contacts have consistently made themselves available when needed.
“The fact that the media is now trying to turn loyalty and hard work into some kind of scandal tells you everything you need to know about their priorities,” she wrote.
“They’re not interested in results. They’re interested in tearing down anyone close to the president,” she added.
Natalie Harp continues to face scrutiny
Harp currently serves as Trump’s executive assistant and special assistant to the president and has become one of the most recognizable members of his immediate orbit.
She is frequently seen accompanying him and is known for carrying a portable printer, a habit that earned her the nickname “the human printer.”
Her profile grew sharply after Democratic Sen Jon Ossoff of Georgia mentioned her during a campaign event on August 16.

While criticizing Trump and accusing him of being distracted by other matters, Ossoff said Trump wanted to “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie.”
The remark put Harp, who had previously operated largely outside the public spotlight, at the center of a political controversy.
Harp has accompanied Trump on trips and has played a communications role around him.
Reports have described her as someone who supplies him with printed news articles and other information because he prefers paper rather than digital material.
She has also assisted with Trump's social-media activity.
