Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi asks for prayers as she shares photo of watching Chiefs game from hospital

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, asked her social media followers to pray as she shared a picture of her father taken in a hospital room. 

As the Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 29, the star quarterback’s mother was not in the stadium to cheer for her son. She was at the hospital with her father, as she shared in her post.

While she could not be physically present at the stadium to support the Chiefs, she cheered on her son and his team nonetheless from the hospital room.

A flat-screen TV mounted on the wall was playing the match between the Chiefs and Chargers. The Chiefs eventually won by scoring 17-10 over the hosts.

Randi captioned the X (formerly Twitter) post, "Watching game with daddy today… prayers please for my dad." She was accompanied by her daughter and Patrick’s half-sister, Mia Randall. 

The 49-year-old is also the mother of Jackson Mahomes. 

Randi first revealed that her father was facing health issues on September 13. She wrote on X, "Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well. His name is Randy."

Randi Mahomes received numerous prayers from well-wishers soon after she made the X post. 

One wrote, "Praying for your daddy. Dads are the best. 🙏🏽," and another said, "Patrick got a win for his Grandpa!! Get well soon !! 🙏🙏❤️🏈."

"Same. Watching with my dad in the same capacity. 😕 Prayers to you. We are cheering for our favorite team!💛❤️," shared someone else.

Another fan noted, "Absolutely Randi. Lifting your daddy up in prayers for healing and peace for your family.."

"God bless your dad. May the Lord see him through this crisis and keep him strong. 🙏✨," prayed an individual. 

Another commended Mia's presence in the hospital room, saying, "Mia is so sweet to stay and hang out with Grandpa. Kiddo’s to her. Prayers for your family."

"You and your father are in my prayers, Mama Mahomes. Stay strong. 🙏🏾❤️," expressed one more.
