Pete Davidson enters fatherhood as GF Elsie Hewitt gives birth to first baby
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Pete Davidson has officially entered a new chapter of his life - fatherhood. The former 'Saturday Night Live' star and his girlfriend, actress and model Elsie Hewitt, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, the couple confirmed in December.
Hewitt shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, revealing that their daughter arrived on December 12. Alongside a series of photos showing the couple cradling their newborn, she announced the baby’s name: Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, a deeply personal tribute to Davidson’s late father.
Elsie Hewitt shares emotional first photos and baby name
“Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025,” Hewitt wrote, clearly overwhelmed by the moment. “my best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.” As for Pete, he added, “wu tang forever.”
The name Scottie holds special meaning for Davidson. His father, Scott Davidson, was a New York City firefighter who died while responding to the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
Davidson has spoken openly for years about the impact his father’s death had on his life and career, often honoring him in his comedy.
Pregnancy reveal mixed humor with honesty
Hewitt first revealed her pregnancy over the summer in a post that instantly went viral for its humor and blunt honesty. Sharing photos and video clips from an ultrasound appointment in July, she captioned the post, “Welp now everyone knows we had sex.”
The announcement quickly made headlines, especially given Davidson’s high-profile dating history and relatively private approach to his current relationship.
Shortly after the news broke, Davidson addressed the pregnancy during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', where he couldn’t hide his excitement.
Pete Davidson says becoming a dad was his dream
“It’s my dream to be a dad,” the comedian told Fallon at the time. Davidson said both he and Hewitt were beyond excited about starting a family, adding that becoming a parent had shifted his priorities in a major way.
“I’m stoked,” he said, explaining that “everything else doesn’t really matter anymore.”
That sense of grounding appeared to carry into the months leading up to the baby’s arrival. In November, the couple hosted a bunny-themed baby shower, where they were spotted sharing a kiss and celebrating with close friends.
A quieter, happier relationship away from the spotlight
Davidson and Hewitt’s relationship first became public earlier this year. In March, Page Six reported that the 'King of Staten Island' star was “very happy” and seeing someone “very different from” his past girlfriends.
Later that same month, the couple confirmed the romance during a PDA-filled vacation. By May, sources said the two had moved in together, splitting their time between Brooklyn and upstate New York to “see what suits them.”

Hewitt has previously been linked to Benny Blanco, now married to Selena Gomez, as well as Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.
Davidson, meanwhile, has dated a long list of A-list celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande - attention he has repeatedly said makes him uncomfortable.
Pete Davidson previously pushed back on dating reputation
In December 2024, Davidson told W magazine that he didn’t want to be known as “this f–king loser who just dates people.” He echoed that frustration during a 2023 appearance on Jon Bernthal’s Real Ones podcast.
“In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people,” Davidson said at the time. “That’s not that crazy or interesting.”
