Zendaya's stylist says the real dress for her wedding to Tom Holland was 'better' than AI images
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Longtime stylist Law Roach has distanced himself from the AI-generated wedding photos that falsely claimed to show actress Zendaya's wedding dress after rumors of her marriage to actor Tom Holland surfaced.
Addressing the viral images, Roach made it clear that the real gown looked nothing like the fabricated version, while also reflecting on the couple's private wedding and relationship. He has styled Zendaya since 2011, when she was a 14-year-old Disney Channel star.
Law Roach rejects AI wedding dress images of Zendaya
Roach addressed the AI-generated wedding photos that circulated online after he became the first member of her inner circle to reveal that the couple had secretly gotten married. Back in March, he let the news slip, and soon afterward, fake wedding photos spread across social media.
The images were reportedly so convincing that members of Holland's own family believed they were authentic. Speaking during a Monday, June 29 appearance on 'Good Morning America,' he laughed off the viral images when asked about Zendaya's wedding dress.
"That dress was not good enough," he said. After sharing a laugh with hosts Michael Strahan and Lara Spencer, he added, "Trust me, the dress is better than that."
The AI-generated photos depicted the 'Odyssey' actress wearing a lace veil and a cream-colored gown with thin straps and a sculpted bodice. When Spencer asked whether the actual dress resembled the viral images in any way, he replied, "Absolutely not."
Speculation about the couple's marriage had been building for months. In January, reports emerged that they had gotten engaged during the period between Christmas and New Year's Day following a holiday proposal at one of the actress' family homes.
Rumors intensified after Roach appeared to confirm the wedding while attending the Actor Awards on March 1, telling a reporter, "The wedding has already happened. You missed it!" The speculation gained further momentum later that evening when Zendaya was seen wearing a gold band alongside her engagement ring.
Tom Holland confirms marriage and reflects on relationship with Zendaya
After months of speculation, Holland confirmed in an interview with Esquire UK that he and Zendaya had indeed tied the knot while discussing the viral AI-generated wedding photos. Holland revealed that even his grandmother believed the fake images and thought she had not been invited to the wedding.
When asked whether he had to reassure other family members, he responded, "No, because they were all there. That's all you'll get on that." Although he declined to share further details about the ceremony, he spoke openly about his relationship with Zendaya.
"Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time," Holland said adding, "We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else."
He continued, "So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."
They first met while filming 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' in 2016 and later reunited for 'Spider-Man: Far from Home' (2019) and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021). Throughout their relationship, they have largely kept their personal lives private.
