PARIS, FRANCE: Peyton Manning became prepared for the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony as he sported an oversized wristband.
The accessory, resembling those worn by quarterbacks detailing potential plays, was a surprising sight.

Manning, the former NFL player who won two Super Bowls revealed to fellow NBC hosts Mike Tirico and Kelly Clarkson that he had notes on each athlete available on the play sheet.
"Hey, buddy. What's going on there?" asked Clarkson.
"Oh, this is just my wristband. I have notes on all 200 countries, all 10,000 athletes," said Manning.
At the end of the segment, Tirico quipped, "That's just Peyton Manning being Peyton Manning."

Peyton Manning brings humor to serious controversy
Peyton Manning, who has obviously never played in the Olympics, joined NBC's coverage of the opening ceremony that saw the parade of each country and its athletes.
The 18-year-old NFL veteran cracked a Spygate joke while they discussed the drone controversy involving the Canadian Olympic soccer teams that led to women's coach Bev Priestman's dismissal, according to USA Today.
Referencing the illegal filming tactics used by the New England Patriots, Manning joked, "A little Spygate in soccer in the Olympics."
The former football quarterback is popular for his way of lightening the mood during his TV appearances which also included his 'ManningCast' duties during the regular season and his other guest appearances.
The 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony will be aired on NBC in the US on Friday, July 26 at 7.30 pm after being broadcast live on Friday afternoon on Peacock.
