Plastic surgeons weigh in on Millie Bobby Brown looking a decade older in recent red carpet appearances

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Millie Bobby Brown's back-to-back red-carpet appearances at the SAG Awards and the premiere of her film ‘The Electric State’ has triggered much chatter as several fans noted the 21-year-old star has been looking way beyond her actual age.
After the social media sphere abounded with comments that said she looked at least “a decade older,” cosmetic surgeons are weighing in on the probability of the ‘Stranger Things' actress going under the knife.

Speaking to Daily Mail, cosmetologists reflected on the fans’ concerns regarding the actress’s perceptibly mature appearance on the red carpets.
Millie Bobby Brown’s mature look on the red carpet sparks speculations
Millie Bobby Brown recently made two back-to-back glamorous appearances on the red carpet, which sparked speculations among her fans regarding her unrecognizable appearances.
On Sunday, the Gen-Z heartthrob walked the red carpet for the SAG awards in a peachy satin gown, and for the premiere of her film, ‘The Electric State’ on Monday, February 24, Brown opted for a gold embellished gown. On both occasions, the star was accompanied by her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 22, who looked dapper on both occasions in black suits.

However, on both occasions, her face stood out, with several fans claiming she looked older than her usual age.
It further fueled the already present speculations of the ‘Enola Holmes’ star resorting to injections of fillers. However, recently, cosmetic surgeons too weighed in on the matter and provided their expert opinions regarding the theories behind Brown’s mature looks.
Speaking about the ‘Damsel’ actress, who celebrated her 21st birthday just a week ago on February 19, award-winning consultant plastic surgeon Dr Paul Banwell theorized, “Her cheekbones appear higher and her lips appear fuller, which could be the result of filler.”

The cosmetic surgeon, who has not treated the Florence by Mills founder, added that if she had done any work, it is quite subtle, and is not “weighing her down.”
Dr Banwell also did not eliminate the possibility of her changed look as a result of “natural aging.”

The star, who debuted as a child actress when she was just nine years old, has largely grown up under the spotlight. When she landed her breakthrough role as Eleven for the Netflix science fiction horror series ‘Stranger Things’ in 2016, she was just 12.
Elaborating on his theory of ‘natural aging', Dr Banwell said, “Your bone structure and face shape will change as you get older, especially from such a young age of 12.”
Nevertheless, he added as a caution that the ‘Damsel’ actress should not risk her natural beauty by “over-doing” fillers. “This could cause 'pillow face' or a frozen face which is, I believe, not the true purpose of these sorts of treatments,” continued the award winning surgeon.

He added, “Fillers are a popular way for people to rejuvenate the skin and make the face appear plumper. Used well, it can create a more youthful, fuller look.”
“As we age, we naturally lose collagen and fat in our face, which leads to a less full, saggier appearance. This volume loss can lead to a less youthful look,” continued Dr Banwell before signing off, “The most popular cosmetic tweaks to the face tend to be filler and botox as they are more easily accessible and have quite instant results, if done correctly.”
