AUSTIN, TEXAS: As Texas reels from catastrophic floods that have claimed over 120 lives and left dozens missing, MAGA podcast host Shemane Nugent has sparked controversy by suggesting the disaster may have been an "attack" targeting President Donald Trump.

Nugent made the claim during the July 13 episode of her ‘Faith & Freedom’ show, where she was joined by Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller to discuss the devastating events.

The deadly floods, which began on July 4 in the state’s Hill Country region, were triggered by the sudden and unprecedented rise of the Guadalupe River, submerging communities and sweeping away entire neighborhoods.

Shemane Nugent says 'more attacks' like Texas floods are about to follow

During the Sunday broadcast of her 'Faith & Freedom' program, Shemane Nugent discussed the Texas flood tragedy with Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller. She began her claims, "This is a terrible biblical tragedy. I believe it's spiritual warfare. Now, Satan, you know, comes to steal, kill, and destroy."

The Trump supporter asserted, "And how best to do that, Sid, but to come after God's children, especially innocent young girls who just wanted to learn scriptures."

Later in the show, Nugent referenced the flood again during an interview with a guest promoting protection against electromagnetic pulses (EMPs) and other energy-based threats. Expressing growing concern, she said, “I really feel like this is just ramping up. Something's got to happen."

Linking the event to broader political conspiracies, Nugent added, "Because with Trump back in office, the enemy, the deep state, doesn't want him to succeed."

She added, "And they know that their days are numbered. So, you know, I feel like what happened in Texas recently, that's just the beginning. We're going to see a lot more attacks like that."

MAGA host Shemane Nugent’s remarks went viral across social media after she described the Texas floods as a “biblical tragedy” and suggested they were an attack on Donald Trump. Her remarks sparked widespread backlash online, with many users criticizing her claims.

One user questioned, "Isn’t he controlling the weather?" while a person asked, "Attack by who? God?"

A commenter joked, "I remembered Trump used a sharpie to control the weather." One disagreed with the host’s comments by saying, "You really can't make this stuff up. I guess the sun rises in the west and sets in the east."

An enraged social media user said, "At this point the families ought to be outraged...they are using their devastation as a prop...disgusting." One more suggested, "If any public figure is going to discuss the Texas disaster, it better start with how we can help."

"Poor poor magabillies believe the dumbest things. But hey they give us good laughs," a comment read.
