Why would Fox and Friends Weekend (of all things?) put on a “Stockbroker” named Peter Schiff, a Trump hating loser who has already proven to be wrong. Either the show… pic.twitter.com/X2svdPEAnP
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump kicked off Saturday, December 6 morning with a blistering online tirade aimed at Fox News, furious that the network booked economist and stockbroker Peter Schiff on 'Fox & Friends Weekend'.
Trump said that he was stunned the show would platform “a Trump hating loser who has already proven to be wrong.”
“Why would Fox and Friends Weekend… put on a ‘Stockbroker’ named Peter Schiff, a Trump hating loser…?” Trump wrote, accusing Schiff of falsely warning that prices were rising.
Trump shifts fire to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins over ballroom questions
Trump insisted that “Gasoline hit $1.99 a gallon yesterday… and is down BIG since Biden” and declared that he, not his predecessor, was fixing the “affordability crisis.”
The 'Fox & Friends' segment in question aired at 6.44 am and included Schiff criticizing the Trump economy, prompting Trump’s eruption.
Trump followed up the Fox attack with another post shortly after 8 am, this time targeting CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

Caitlin Collin’s of Fake News CNN, always Stupid and Nasty, asked me why the new Ballroom was costing more money than originally thought one year ago. I said because … pic.twitter.com/1lgwIzPCg7
He claimed Collins, “always Stupid and Nasty,” had questioned him about rising costs tied to a new White House ballroom project.
“It is going to be double the size… the quality of finishes… the column span has been substantially increased… It is actually under budget and ahead of schedule, as my jobs always are,” the president insisted, claiming that there were “no taxpayer dollars involved” because the project was funded through private donations.
“FAKE NEWS CNN… Their ratings are so low that they’re not even counted or relevant anymore,” he added.
Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump on the Peace Prize, not ballroom
Despite Trump’s furious post, Collins did not ask him about the ballroom. Video from the Kennedy Center red carpet on Friday shows Collins pressing Trump on a completely different topic- his decision to accept a Peace Prize amid escalating tensions with Venezuela.
There was reportedly no ballroom question and no exchange resembling Trump’s account, raising further questions about why the president launched his latest attack on the CNN reporter.
A morning of grievances as Trump fixates on media coverage
Saturday’s posts reflected a familiar early-morning pattern for Trump- reacting in real time to cable news coverage he dislikes and blasting both networks and individual journalists.
Fox News, once Trump’s favored media outlet, has increasingly become a target of his criticism, while CNN remains a frequent punching bag.
