Following Queen Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, Andrew and Sarah were entrusted with two of her corgis. In addition, they have five other dogs that need regular walks, but Andrew has reportedly been sending others to handle the task due to his frustration.

An insider explained the reason behind Andrew's refusal to walk Queen's corgis, "He’s so down and demoralized he hasn’t even been able to get himself motivated to take the dogs for a walk. He used to do it regularly but recently he can’t even bring himself to go out."
