New book reveals Queen Elizabeth II planned to end Harry and Meghan's lease on Frogmore Cottage
An updated biography by acclaimed royal writer Robert Hardman and serialized by The Daily Mail reveals that the late Queen Elizabeth II had planned to end Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lease of Frogmore Cottage and replace the pair with Prince Andrew.
Sources revealed that had the Queen lived another year she would have forced Prince Andrew, Duke of York to leave his family home - Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate and downsize to Frogmore Cottage.
A former adviser to Elizabeth II said, "Had she lived another year, he would have been out. It was her plan to move him out, to end the lease for the Sussexes at Frogmore Cottage and to move Andrew in there. It was mainly a money thing, as she could see it was becoming unsustainable."
An updated edition of Hardman's best-selling biography 'Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story', which was published earlier in 2024, is now being brought out in hardback with extra content and three new chapters packed with interesting detail.
