Prince Harry and Meghan Markle slammed as 'POLO' teaser drops shortly after Kate Middleton's update video
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: The first look for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's newest Netflix project dropped mere hours after Kate Middleton released a video on her cancer recovery.
The Netflix documentary series titled, 'POLO', tracks the lives of elite polo players around the world. It's a collaboration between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures, as promoted on Netflix's social media platforms.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix project 'POLO' will premiere in December
The announcement was made just hours after Prince William and Kate Middleton shared an emotional video marking the conclusion of the Princess of Wales' chemotherapy journey, as per Daily Mail.
In the three-minute clip, Kate emphasized that her focus is now on "doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus" and acknowledged that the past nine months have been a 'frightening and uncertain' period for her family.

As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

The mother of three mentioned that the experience served as a reminder for her and her husband to "reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."
Nevertheless, there is no evidence to suggest that the timing of Netflix's announcement was strategically planned to coincide with the Princess of Wales' health update video.
Netflix's announcement, shared on X (formerly Twitter), states, "POLO is a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of the sport."
It added, "From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures, premiering this December only on Netflix." The post included four stills from the upcoming docu-series.

Kate Middleton reflects on her cancer journey and expresses gratitude as she enters recovery phase
The video featuring Prince William and Kate Middleton was shot in Norfolk in August. Besides the couple, the video also featured their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as Kate's parents.
In her message, the Princess of Wales said, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment."
She added, "The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you."
"With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved," shared Kate.
Discussing her plans for the upcoming months, the mother of three went on, "Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."
"I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life," noted Kate.
She continued, "William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone's kindness, empathy, and compassion has been truly humbling."
The Princess of Wales concluded with a profoundly touching and heartfelt message directed at fellow cancer patients and their families, stating, "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."
Internet blasts Sussexes as first look of 'POLO' drops just hours after Kate Middleton's health update
Netizens were up in arms over the timing of the release of the first look of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's newest Netflix project 'POLO'.
A Facebook user wrote, "That would be right for people who wanted to get away from all the paparazzi. They are very eager to stay in the limelight. They cant stop themselves. Trying to beat their sister in law."
Another said, "This is too much of a coincidence. We have been hearing about this Netflix show for months, but they release a promo 2 hours after Catherine’s good news. Even people who are fans of these two cannot excuse this. If anyone wondered why people have had enough of the faux Royals surely this would be enough confirmation as to why."
One declared, "NOTHING they do will EVER overshadow Catherine. They just look pathetic trying to. It was truly wonderful to see Catherine's video and hear her good news! A documentary about polo will have very limited appeal."
An X (formerly Twitter) user remarked, "Using a family member's cancer to help try and promote this flop of a documentary, not cool Netflix."
One more stated, "Lmao right on schedule. . .this is so pathetic even for them."
"I knew it. The insecure Meghan Markle will release something after the wonderfully captured video of the Wales family!" wrote another person.
