Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to bring season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’ in new first look Netflix deal

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have entered into a new "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects'' agreement with Netflix for film and television projects.
The deal, while extending their collaboration, is reportedly less lucrative or a downgrade from their original $100 million 2020 contract.
The agreement will see the return of Meghan Markle’s 'With Love, Meghan' for a second season later this month and a Christmas special in December.
Netflix will also have the first right to accept or reject any future projects before other platforms.
Netflix continues partnership but won't be spending $100M
The new arrangement marks a shift from the couple’s previous $100 million deal signed in 2020 after they stepped down as senior working royals.
Their Archewell Productions will continue producing content for the streaming giant, which has already aired 'With Love, Meghan,' 'Polo,' 'Heart of Invictus,' 'Live to Lead,' and the docuseries 'Harry & Meghan.'

Netflix also collaborated on Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever.
Brand and culture expert Nick Ede said, “[Netflix] know that with Meghan and Harry there will always be interest and they won't want to lose them to a rival streamer so this is a good way of keeping them as part of the Netflix family but not spending as much as they did previously, when only two of the content that was created were real winners for the streamer.”
Expert says Netflix's ‘Polo’ and ‘Heart of Invictus’ were too niche
Netflix reported that 'Harry & Meghan', released in December 2022, had 23.4 million views, making it the most-watched documentary in its first four days, reaching the English Top 10 TV list in 85 countries.
In contrast, 'With Love, Meghan' ranked 383rd among Netflix shows in 2025 so far, with 5.3 million viewers since March.
Nick Ede added, “I think that 'Polo' and 'Heart of Invictus' were pretty niche shows and didn't rate well."
"They have probably seen the slate that Archewell has created for their future productions and pitches are interesting and may be developed more for the streaming service," the expert added according to Daily Mail.
Meghan Markle says couple is ‘proud’ to extend Netflix deal
The duchess said, “We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand."
"My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision," Meghan added.

Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said, “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere."
He said, 'The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series."

Bajaria continued, "More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”
Meghan Markles and Prince Harry's upcoming Netflix and Archewell projects
As Ever offers products such as cookie mix, herbal tea, flower sprinkles, and jams, and recently launched a Napa Valley rose wine.
Meghan also began her 'Confessions of a Female Founder' podcast in March with Lemonada Media, featuring guests like Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles.

Netflix will also release 'Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within', a documentary short produced with Archewell Productions, in the second half of 2025.
Another ongoing project is 'Meet Me at the Lake', an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel, whose rights were acquired by Archewell in 2023, though no updates have been shared on production.
