Harry and Meghan have to ‘sincerely’ apologize to Thomas Markle to mend their relationship, claims son
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have to “sincerely” apologize to Thomas Markle if they want to resolve their issues.
The Sussexes reportedly have no contact or relationship with the 79-year-old television lighting director after it was revealed that he allegedly staged multiple paparazzi photos before the 2018 royal wedding.
Thomas Markle’s son wants Meghan to say sorry to their father
Now, Thomas’ son Thomas Markle Jr told OK! Magazine, “It would take quite a long time. It would have to be sincere. I mean almost on the level of public apology. It’s very hurtful and it should never have been this way.”
He further stated, “My father has always left the door open for reconciliation and nothing has come out of that. It’s just sad overall. There was no contact after his heart attack a few years ago.”
The 57-year-old continued that the relationship strain was “just not right because everything should be set aside when it comes to a family emergency.”
“That’s the top priority no matter what you have going on or what your differences are and for them to not reach out or do anything, that’s going to be hard to repair,” Meghan’s half-brother added.
Thomas Markle expressed his desire to see the Sussexes’ children
This came after the father of the Duchess of Sussex reportedly expressed his desire to meet her children.
He said, “I still haven't seen my grandkids and I want to see my grandkids and I think the King would like to see his grandkids as well.”
Thomas also asserted that he’s “very upset about it as well because this is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent, not just me, but to the King of England as well, denying the right to see a grandchild, grandchildren.”
“In California, I can actually sue to see them but I don't want to do that,” he stated, before noting, “I’ve done nothing wrong, there's nothing that points to me to say that I’m a bad guy. Matter of fact, I’m a really loving father and she knows that.”
Thomas then added, “And there is no excuse for her to treat me this way. No excuse to treat grandparents this way as well.”
Thomas Markle says he still loves Meghan Markle
The father-of-three reportedly shared, "I’ve always been here for her [Meghan], I still love her, I’ll love her forever. I want her to reach out to me and let me see my grandkids and let me have a little peace, it’s been five years.”
“She’s always been sweet and very talented. She always was [loving], I don't know about now,” he added.
