LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on opposite sides when sharing their children's pictures for brand promotions?

In a recent appearance on Hello! Magazine’s 'Right Royal' podcast, Matt Wilkinson, the royal editor of The Sun, weighed in on how Prince Harry might feel about their children being featured on social media. Podcast hosts Emmy Griffiths, Andreas Caamano, and Hello!’s royal editor, Emily Nash, joined him.

The conversation comes as Meghan Markle has been posting more content on Instagram, particularly since the launch of her business, 'As Ever'. Among the posts, glimpses of the couple’s two young children, Archie,5, and Lilibet,3, have appeared.

Royal expert highlights contrasting perspectives between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

On the 'Right Royal' podcast, Matt Wilkinson shared his thoughts on how Prince Harry might feel about their children being featured on social media.

The royal editor of The Sun believes the Duke would likely be less than thrilled about the idea. “My understanding of this is that, up to a certain stage, Harry would much rather his children were not seen,” Matt explained.

He contrasted Harry's perspective with Meghan's: "Whereas Meghan grew up in California, she once said she would like to have a more California style lifestyle, take them down the beach, go out, do stuff. She doesn't want to hide them away."

While Meghan posts content on Instagram, she refrains from showing her children's faces, a practice also followed by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie with their children.

The panel also speculated about the possibility of Archie and Lilibet being photographed as they grow older, as per Daily Mail.

Matt remarked, "I think Harry's living in [like things are] the way they were when he was a child [...] the media landscape has shifted."

“You could argue that Meghan isn’t exploiting the children, she’s just…well maybe she is exploiting them,” said Wilkinson, “but she’s using them to display her brand. She’s a mother. A homemaker and cooking at home.”

Many of Meghan's Instagram posts featuring glimpses of their children came ahead of the release of 'With Love, Meghan'. One video, which featured Lilibet alongside Serena Williams, included the caption: "3 days until the party begins. All are invited @Netflix."

“I don’t particularly mind her putting pictures of the children up,” Wilkinson said, adding, “I think Harry probably is not overly happy.”

In a past interview with People, Meghan spoke about her daughter and expressed her hope that she will be inspired by the legacy she creates.

Meghan Markle claimed, "Being able to have my own little girl, as I’ve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women, and to be able to see this as a multigenerational story—Archie is of course included in that, my husband is of course included in that—but I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it’s like to be a working mom," she added, "This is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too.”

After hearing The Sun's royal editor's opinion on Harry and Meghan Markle's differing views on sharing their children's images online, many internet users quickly joined the online conversation about the topic.

One user wrote, "You can’t call them photos of the children. They show their feet and hand, from the back, from a great distance…they are teasers, meant to draw attention to the potential of seeing the kids. Meghan is playing a game."

A user criticized, "Harry don't want the Royal Family to see his kids. but she needs them to make money."

A commenter explained, "I think Wilkinson has it backwards. Harry was seen all the time as a kid He thinks it's normal. Royal children are part of the PR process for the royal family. Diana never hid her children. Meghan, on the other hand, never shows their faces."

A social media user said, "Meghan is showing the kids and harry disagrees. Meghan is very creepy."

An Internet user speculated, "Lol What photos? We don't see the kids full on. Just in the distance. They could be anyone's kids."

One individual said, "WHO CARES about their kids? No one. Archie was  seen  with a face , then came  number two. One so called picture as a toddler  then  feet and hands. Is she  normal? Seems that if the real Royals  Kate and William  show their kids all the time, that these two grifters  are safe."
