Prince Harry refuses to 'compromise' as he demands apology from Prince William and King Charles
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince Harry demanded that the Prince of Wales and King Charles express regret for the way the British Press treated Meghan Markle, and he made his rivalry with Prince William known in his memoir, 'Spare.'
However, a royal expert believes that Harry's loved ones are unlikely to fulfill his wishes, despite their best intentions.
According to royal expert Angela Levin, Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has only one chance to be "accepted" by his estranged family.
She is aware, however, that Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, is adamantly opposed to his desire to return home, much less apologize to Charles or William.
Prince Harry 'won't compromise and wants the King and Prince William to apologize'
After spending a year with Prince Harry, Angela Levin, who authored a biography of him in 2018, told Sky News Australia that while Meghan remained adamantly opposed to the concept, there were rumors that the Duke wanted to return to the UK.
However, she added, Harry has "got to apologize hugely, and he’s also got to compromise" if Prince Harry was to succeed in doing this.
Levin further added: "He won’t compromise — he keeps saying he wants the King and Prince William to apologize for things going right back to childhood when William got five sausages and he got four."
The Prince of Wales was reportedly offended by the Duke's remarks when Harry refers to William in 'Spare' as his "archnemesis," as per OK! Magazine.
The royal author further noted, "It’s that sort of pettiness as well as him feeling very badly dealt with. If he wants to bring back a family argument, you have to spend time."
Levin believes that since Harry is "under Meghan’s thumb," she can persuade him to change his mind if the Duchess of Sussex decides not to apologize to the Royal family.
"You can’t rush here, spend half an hour, and then rush away, it takes weeks, months even. Of course, he’s very much under Meghan’s thumb, and he will listen to what she says," Levin concluded.
The antagonism between William and Harry remains prominent, which exacerbates the situation.
Commentator Katie Nicholl previously told Entertainment Tonight, "Everyone wants to see a repair in the rift because it doesn't do anyone any good to have this rift in the heart of the House of Windsor."
"I spoke to aides, past and present -- including one senior aid who worked with the brothers for a good 10 years, who knows them both and still speaks to them both. And he was surprisingly confident that there could be a rapprochement."
Reportedly there was 'no sign that the California-based couple are prepared to apologize'
Royal editor, Richard Eden, earlier suggested a similar sentiment about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Eden earlier stated in an article, "As all Christians know, before forgiveness there needs to be repentance. And we have seen no sign that the California-based couple are prepared to apologize to those they have betrayed with their insults and indiscretions," per OK! Magazine.
While the Sussexes reside in Montecito, California, disgraced royal Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson continue to attend royal events.
The author explained, "Until that happens, we may continue to witness the unlikely spectacle of ex-royal Fergie enjoying a more prominent role in the royal family than the King’s second son."
