Prince Harry shows signs of ‘stress’ while discussing about royal family, claims body language expert
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A body language expert has claimed that Prince Harry’s demeanor during an interview about his win against Mirror Group Newspapers showed he’s 'stressed' when the topic of his family came up.
The Duke of Sussex won the case in late 2023 and was given $180,894 in damages.
Prince Harry’s lawyer slammed Mirror Group Newspapers
At the time, his lawyer David Sherborne said, as reported by BBC, “This case is not just about hacking - it is about a systemic practice of unlawful and appalling behavior, followed by cover-ups and destruction of evidence, the shocking scale of which can only be revealed through these proceedings.”
Also, Mirror Group Newspapers via their spokesperson shared, “Where historical wrongdoing took place, we apologise unreservedly, have taken full responsibility and paid appropriate compensation," as reported by CNN.
Prince Harry asserts legal case led to ‘rift’ in family
However, Harry has once again recently spoken about it in an ITV documentary, ‘Tabloids on Trial’.
When journalist Becca Barry asked him, “To what extent do you think your determination to fight the tabloids destroyed your relationship with your family?” he replied, “That’s certainly a central piece to it.”
The father-of-two, who is married to Meghan Markle, then mentioned, “But, you know, that’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press."
“I think everything that’s played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is. For me, the mission continues, but it has, it has, yes. It’s caused, yeah, as you say, part of a rift," he added.
Expert says Prince Harry was ‘stressed’ while talking about his family
Commenting on his body language, Traci Brown told The List, “What we see from Harry is stress and contempt. Both of these are very common for him when interviewed. So he's on his stressful baseline.”
Brown continued, “When he gets stressed, as this topic is for him, his blink rate increases and becomes irregular,” before adding, “He shows contempt, which is moral superiority when one side of the corner of his mouth pulls back.”
Meanwhile, during the documentary, Harry also brought up his late mother, Princess Diana, as he stated that she was “probably one of the first people to be hacked.”
“And yet still today, the press, the tabloid press very much enjoy painting her as being paranoid. But she wasn’t paranoid, she was absolutely right of what was happening to her. And she’s not around to find out the truth,” he added.
