LONDON, UK: Prince William is hoping for normalcy to return after a difficult 2024.

The Prince of Wales, who recently completed his Cape Town, South Africa trip, opened up on wife Kate Middleton's return to royal duty once again in a more active way.

He said, "Hopefully Catherine will be doing a bit more next year, so we’ll have some more trips maybe lined up.”

Kate Middleton finished her chemotherapy recently

On September 9, over an Instagram post, the Princess of Wales announced she had completed her chemotherapy amid her cancer diagnosis.

Prince William is expected to be back in South Africa next year too for the US Climate Change Conference.

“I’m trying to do it differently, and I’m trying to do it for my generation,” William said during one of the events in Cape Town, reported People.

“I’m doing it with maybe a smaller 'r' in the royal, if you like. It’s more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people,” he stressed.

William went on, “I’m also going to throw empathy in there as well, because I really care about what I do. It helps impact people's lives. I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world.”

“So that’s what I’m trying to bring, what Catherine is trying to bring as well,” the Prince of Wales focused.

Is Prince William struggling with health?

Prince William's noticeably lean and gaunt appearance during his South Africa tour got many people's attention as many reasoned it might be because of excessive stress amid personal challenges.

According to Radar Online, a source claimed, "William is worrying those around him as he clearly has not been eating or sleeping properly."

They further revealed, "The toll of Kate’s cancer is showing, and the rumors around their marriage have also piled strain on him – but he's fighting back now."

These concerns about his health were raised after William discussed his difficult year in an interview marking the conclusion of his week-long visit to Cape Town for the Earthshot Prize awards recently.

Last month, royal expert Jennie Bond also commented on William’s appearance, noting that he has seemed both leaner and older in recent months. She suggested that his appearance may be a reflection of the emotional strain he has faced while supporting both his father and wife through health crises.
