Prince William went 'ballistic' after being shown 'dossier' accusing Meghan Markle of mistreating staff

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Prince William reportedly went “ballistic” after hearing claims that Meghan Markle had been rude to staff at Kensington Palace, according to allegations detailed in royal historian Robert Lacey's bestselling book 'Battle of Brothers'.
The revelations, which trace the origins of a deep rift between the royal siblings, suggest that concerns about Harry and Meghan's alleged behaviour toward palace staff had emerged as early as 2017, the Daily Mail reported.
Prince William was furious over Meghan Markle bullying allegations
According to Robert Lacey, the document referred to as a “dossier of distress” was compiled by royal aide Jason Knauf and outlined troubling claims of bullying, early-morning email barrages, and a toxic work culture attributed to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
William, said to be “horrified” and “astonished,” reportedly “went ballistic” upon reviewing the contents, feeling that a royal tradition of treating staff like family had been broken.
Things got tense between William and Harry after the release of the bullying allegations, leading to a heated phone conversation. Harry reportedly jumped to Meghan’s defense.
Roberts wrote, “The moment the Prince heard the bullying allegations, he got straight on the phone to talk to Harry and when Harry flared up in furious defence of his wife, the elder brother persisted.”
William didn’t leave it there, he headed straight over to see Harry in person at Kensington.
In his Netflix documentary with Meghan, Harry later shared that during the Sandringham summit, William raised his voice and shouted at him.

The allegations against Meghan aren’t isolated to palace staff. Reports from media insiders, former employees, and recent profiles depict a polarizing workplace environment, some calling her “genuine” and generous, while others describe behavior likened to a “Mean Girls” narrative, including episodes of yelling, emotional strain, and high staff turnover.
The last time the brothers were seen together in public was at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022. However, they did attend a private funeral for their uncle, Robert Fellowes, last summer.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has not escaped similar scrutiny. The chair of his charity, Sentebale, accused him of creating a hostile environment, leading both Harry and co-founder Prince Seeiso to step down from their roles earlier this year.
Prince William reportedly ‘done with Harry’ amid brother's plea for reconciliation

Prince William has intentionally chosen silence in response to Prince Harry’s recent BBC interview, where the latter expressed hope for reconciliation with his father King Charles and his brother.
According to a royal insider, William has made it clear that the matter is no longer open for discussion within the royal family.
A source close to the royal family revealed to Us Weekly that William has refrained from commenting on Harry’s remarks following the Duke of Sussex’s May 2 BBC interview.
In the interview, Harry discussed the ongoing rift, specifically touching on the royal family’s refusal to communicate with him over security concerns and the recent court ruling that denied his request for government-funded protection.
“William doesn’t talk about Harry anymore,” the insider explained. “It’s a subject that they shouldn’t bring up, so he hasn’t brought up the interview and won’t.”
“William is done with Harry,” the source went on, adding, “When he becomes king, everybody thinks the divide will become even wider.”
