Princes George, Louis and Princess Charlotte's adorable nickname for Queen Camilla revealed
WINDSOR, BERKSHIRE: While it's customary to use nicknames for loved ones in informal settings, discovering the nicknames of royals, whose official titles are well-known, adds an intriguing dimension.
In private with their closest family members, the royals frequently set aside their formal titles, as per Mirror.
Many have nicknames for each other; Meghan Markle, for instance, revealed in the 'Tour of LA' interview with James Corden that she calls her husband Prince Harry 'Haz'.
The late Queen Elizabeth's immediate family affectionately called her 'Lilibet', and when Prince William was younger, he referred to her as 'Gary' because he couldn't pronounce 'grandma'.
Even the youngest generation of royals, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have adorable names for their elders.
Adorable nickname for Queen Camilla by Prince Geroge, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
George, Charlotte, and Louis reportedly know all about 'Granny Diana' and affectionately refer to King Charles as 'Grandpa Wales'.
According to the Daily Mail, the nickname 'Grandpa Wales' follows the same pattern that Queen Elizabeth II used for her grandfather George V, whom she called 'Grandad England'.
However, when it comes to Queen Camilla, it's clear she has a different title than the traditional 'grandma' or 'nanny'.
Camilla, who has five grandchildren of her own plus the Cambridge children and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archie and Lili, is affectionately known as 'Gaga'.
Camilla mentioned to Lady Gaga that her grandchildren called her 'GaGa' when they met during the 2016 Royal Variety Performance. Shortly after the birth of Prince George, the Duchess said, "My own grandchildren call me GaGa. I don’t know if it’s because they think I am! It is funny but is still very sweet."
Meanwhile, George also had an adorable nickname for his great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, calling her 'Gan-Gan'.
Kate Middleton shared in 2016 after the birth of Charlotte, "It's very special having a new little girl…I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister. The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here. George is only two-and-a-half and he calls her 'Gan-Gan.' She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay and that just shows her love for her family.."
Internet praises 'precious' grandchildren as they discover Queen Camilla's nickname
After discovering the endearing nicknames coined by the youngest generation of the royal family, many have shared their comments, on Facebook.
One user wrote, "Prince Louis is precious. It's hard to keep in his inner mischief. Ijust love him."
Another user wrote, "It's not specific to the Wales children, it's what her own Grandchildren call her too. She appears to have a very loving relationship with her children and grandchildren."
A user claimed about George, "You can see a bit of the late Queen in Prince George here, I think. He seems a more serious lad than wee Louis."
While one user added, "Little Louis is such a cutie. He has a personality all his own," another expressed, "I cannot understand how some people who have never met Camilla can be so spiteful about her. She makes the King very happy and he is more relaxed these days. Remember he was not allowed to Marry her when he was a young man. He has spent more years with Camilla than he did with Diana and she is a very supportive Wife."
One user mocked the meaning of the nickname, "She is called Gaga by the royal kids. In our country "gaga" means someone stupid or foolish.😄"
