Rachel Lindsay's friend says she is 'trying to pick up the pieces' after divorce from Bryan Abasolo
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In view of the recent news that Rachel Lindsay's husband Bryand Abasolo filed for divorce, 'The Bachelorette' alum's friend gave an update. Lindsay met Abasolo on her season of the dating show in 2017.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, cited "irreconcilable differences" in their divorce filing on Tuesday, January 2.

As per documents, their date of separation has been listed as December 31, reports People.
Rachel Lindsay is in 'survival mode' after divorce
Speaking about Lindsay's emotional well-being following the divorce, TV personality Justin Sylvester gave an update during an appearance on 'Today with Hoda & Jenna.'
"She’s taking it day by day," Sylvester said of Lindsay.
"I talked to her this morning. She’s just trying to pick up the pieces. She’s in survival mode," he added.
Sylvester also commented on Abasolo's quick public statement following the divorce filing. "It was weird and kind of telling" given that Lindsay is “super private about her personal life," said the E! host.
"But if everybody just gives her her privacy right now, I know that when she’s ready to talk, she will have a lot to say," he concluded.

Rachel Lindsay recently acknowledged 2023 was 'one of the hardest years' in her life
On the same day, Abasolo filed for divorce, Lindsay took to Instagram to recap the year 2023 which she described as "one of the hardest years of my life."
"Choosing to focus on grateful moments and carrying that energy into 2024," the 38-year-old lawyer captioned her post.

Meanwhile, Abasolo made a public announcement of the split hours after the divorce filing. "After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew," the 43-year-old chiropractor wrote on Instagram.
"My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go," he added.
Abasolo further stated that he does not "like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family," and added that being a husband was his "proudest role so far."
"I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality. Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps," he concluded his post on Tuesday, January 2.
