Rachel Zoe joins 'RHOBH' as ‘money is tight’ amid her complicated split from husband Rodger Berman

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rachel Zoe has become the latest participant of season 15 of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ amid her 'complicated' split from business partner husband Rodger Berman.
The reason behind her decision to participate in the show is money, a source has claimed, as reported by The Sun.
The insider revealed, “The money has been tighter for them for a while. It's complicated because essentially, their entire lives are intertwined. He runs all her businesses so there is no separation of work and home life. And there is no separation between his work and hers.”

Rachel Zoe wants to do something on her own
The publication reported that Berman is the co-founder and co-CEO of Rachel Zoe, Inc. He also serves as the co-founder and managing partner of Rachel Zoe Ventures.

The source said, “They built this together, which is a big reason she joined RHOBH. She wanted to venture out and do something that didn't involve him. This will be her first big job post-divorce that does not involve him, it will be hers.”
Explaining further, the tipster spilled that the 53-year-old fashion designer not just wants the money but also “needs to start branching out on her own now that they are no longer together. It's important to her.”

“Rodger will continue to be involved in her businesses, but at a different capacity than he once was. When they finally do divorce, it's going to cost a fortune, and she needs to be prepared,” the insider added.

Rachel Zoe announced end of marriage with Rodger Berman in 2024

Zoe, whose net worth is said to be around $30 million, tied the knot with Berman in 1996. The pair went on to welcome two sons — 14-year-old Skyler, and Kaius, 11.
This came after the businesswoman revealed on her Instagram in September that she and Berman were ending their marriage of 26 years.
She wrote, “After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage. We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together.”

“Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to coparent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share. We ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this new chapter,” she added at the time.
