Randy Moss said, while also posting a video with a similar message, "I just wanted to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally."

He added, "I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys. I feel great. But if y’all see me with these Michigan turnover glasses that I have on, it’s not being disrespectful because I’m on television, man. I’m battling something. I need all the prayer warriors."

Moss did not reveal what specifically he’s battling but he did encourage people to "do your checkups, get your bloodwork done" in the video. He added that this has occurred "throughout the week of the holidays".

After Moss' revelation, host Mike Greenberg, former quarterback Alex Smith, former head coach Rex Ryan, and former linebacker Tedy Bruschi all pulled out glasses at the same time to wear alongside him, while NFL insider Adam Schefter, standing next to the main set in the studio, did the same.

Randy Moss' legendary career

Randy Moss was a six-time Pro Bowler and a four-time All-Pro at the NFL level, playing for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers, according to College Football Network.

He originally intended to play at Notre Dame after a legendary high school career at DuPont in West Virginia. However, a racially charged incident at high school caused a series of events that ultimately led to Notre Dame’s denial of his enrollment application.
