Reason for Meghan Markle's angry reaction to Prince William during heated exchange revealed
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince William and Meghan Markle were never as close as the royal family wanted them to be.
But royal biographer Robert Jobson is now shedding extra light on the duo’s relationship in his recent book, ‘Catherine, The Princess of Wales’.
The biographer hinted that the feud between the future king and Prince Harry’s wife started when Meghan allegedly made a remark that did not sit well with Kate Middleton.
Meghan Markle and Prince William’s feud explained
In his latest book, Robert Jobson shed light on Meghan Markle’s brief time as a working member of the royal family while revealing that her argument with William stemmed from when the ‘Suits’ actress commented on Kate Middleton's pregnancy hormones.
It has long been reported that around the time of Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry, she suggested that Kate’s 'baby brain' had led her to forget a detail about Meghan’s wedding plans, as she was pregnant with Prince Louis, per OK! Magazine.
Even the Duke of Sussex wrote about the incident in his memoir 'Spare', where he wrote that his sister-in-law allegedly told Meghan they were "not close enough for you to talk about my hormones."
This was not the end of the confrontation as Prince William then decided to defend his wife in the matter.
Jobson, who recalled the incident in his book, wrote that the Prince of Wales "pointed a finger at Meg" before allegedly saying, "Well, it's rude, Meghan. These things are not done here."
He alleged that the Duchess of Sussex’s reply was equally caustic, as she replied, "Take your finger out of my face.”
Per OK! Magazine, because of this drama, Meghan has maintained her distance from the royal family and has not attended any royal function since Queen Elizabeth's funeral in 2022.
Robert Jobson notes Prince William had reservations about the Sussexes
In his book, Robert Jobson further noted that Prince William always had reservations regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s match.
He wrote, "William, still concerned by the match, even sought assurances from the Queen that his brother's bride-to-be would not wear any jewelry in the collection once worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, even though his wife Catherine had been allowed to wear some, which would be due to her rank.”
The biographer added, "Harry claimed that the goodwill from William and Catherine disappeared long before the build-up to his wedding.”
"William had confided to his brother that he believed it would be better to give Meghan more time to adjust to the royal way of life and suggested he cool the relationship,” added the author.
