LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon, is not just turning heads for her striking resemblance to her mother but also for her refreshing perspective on beauty.

She believes that “beauty is subjective” and that treating people with respect makes you look good.

Ava Phillippe’s perspective on beauty

Phillippe, 24, who Witherspoon shares with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, shares advice from her Southern mother, Reese Witherspoon.

“A big saying in the South, especially amongst women is, ‘Pretty is as pretty does,’” she told People.

This adage has significantly shaped Phillippe’s understanding of beauty. Phillippe and Witherspoon believe that beauty isn’t just skin deep.

“Every time that comes up in my brain or I see people being critical of others online for their appearance, I just always think, you’re only as beautiful as you treat other people,” Phillippe shared.

She emphasized that while beauty is subjective, kindness and respect are universal.

“I think that you glow from within when you’re a good person,” she adds.

Ava Phillippe's fashionable outings

The mother-daughter duo have been spotted at several fashionable events recently, including the Fendi Haute Couture show in Paris, and the Critics Choice Awards.

Reese Witherspoon opens up on getting mistaken for her daughter Ava

In an interview in January, Witherspoon revealed she likes getting mistaken for her 24-year-old daughter Ava.

"Well, I love being mistaken for her because it makes me feel so young. I'm so proud of her," she told Instyle.

"She really rolls with it. I'm sure it's not easy looking exactly like your mother," she further said.

"My parents have always encouraged me to choose the path that's right for me and, you know, guide me along the way to make better choices than I might make," she told on Daily Pop in 2021.

"I'm so grateful for that. That is such a privilege to have parents that support you in that way and want you to be who you truly are meant to be," Ava said.
