LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kyle Richards recently opened up about her "very un-normal situation" with her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.

Earlier in the year, 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star and her real estate agent husband separated, but that allegedly did not dim her love for him.

During an interview with Us Weekly, Richards candidly shared about how she feels for her estranged husband, whom she married in 1996, admitting, "I feel happy, but I'm also still struggling because it's all new to me. I've been married my whole life."

Richards and Umansky were married for more than 27 years before their split was confirmed in July this year. They reportedly met at a nightclub in 1994 and got engaged in the same year, as per PEOPLE Magazine

The 'RHOBH' star elaborated, "We still live in the same house and we spent [the holidays] together. I have no idea how long we'll be like that, but we are trying to be as normal as possible in a very un-normal situation."

Nevertheless, the 54-year-old reality TV personality admitted they still have strong feelings for each other despite the split. She continued, "We love each other. We go to therapy. We both want to see each other happy."

Having said that, she admitted feeling scared, noting, "I don't know what the future looks like. That's the hardest part because the unknown is scary."

Despite the adversities in their relationship, Richards talked about finding her strength of resolution and reflected, "I can handle a lot more than I ever imagined and am stronger than I realized."

She further stated, "Negativity and any stress and pain I've been holding on to. I want things to be a little more quiet and I want to go into 2024 happy and at peace."

This is, however, not the first time that the socialite has opened up about her relationship with Umansky. During a recent episode of ‘RHOBH’, the 'Beautiful Wedding' star opened up about the problems in her relationship.

She said, "I think a lot of it has to do with us having a harder year, I expected more from him for what I was going through," as per OK! Magazine.

Richards shared with her friend Dorit Kemsley, "Also probably, you know how he loves to go drink, and there’s a lot of business events where I’m supposed to go and be the wife and be supportive and sometimes it’s like, I don’t wanna go to these parties."

The difference in their priorities, coupled with their developed choices have also caused friction in their relationship.

"I would be happy to be full-time in the mountains, you know, like doing the things I like to do," expressed the 'Halloween' star.

She continued, "A big part of [his job] is putting yourself out there and being social, and I’m in a place where I don’t want to do that. I mean I would much rather be home reading than going to an event, especially now that I don’t drink anymore."

"I think with the way my relationship is right now, I’m not happy. I’m sort of now working on myself inside, and I feel like he’s very focused on his work, so I feel like, in that aspect, we’re kind of like you know, growing in different directions," mentioned Richards.

In early December, she shared with E! News, "Like with most relationships, first and foremost we're friends," before adding, "Our relationship, any issues we had it was never fighting. Disagreeing about things was not our issue ever."

She asserted, "We know that we are both struggling. So, we're just trying to do it with as much compassion as possible and trying to keep things as normal as possible because three of our four daughters still live at home while we go to therapy and try to work through things."
