‘I would go back’: Richie Sambora confirms he'd return to Bon Jovi 'without a doubt' but on one condition
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Richie Sambora is reportedly willing to work again with singer Bon Jovi after leaving the rock band of the same name suddenly over a decade ago.
During the ‘The Allison Hagendorf Show’, he said, “If he gets [his voice] back, I’ll go play. I got songs. I swear to God. It’s the honest-to-God truth,” referring to Jovi’s 2022 vocal fold medialization operation, as per PEOPLE.

The 64-year-old further shared, “I told everybody that I would without a doubt go back. The world needs it… We need hope."
“The fans will just love it. It’s not finance, it has nothing to do with. The world could use it,” he continued.
Sambora, however, noted, “But as Jon said, he’s been having problems with his voice, and now he had that operation… It’s an iffy thing at best.”

Richie Sambora explains why he left Bon Jovi band
This came after Sambora disclosed in 2020 his reason for leaving the band in 2013.
He told DailyMailTV, “Obviously it hurts and you know, breaking up is hard to do. I was in a situation and it was not easy to make that decision to leave the band and the fans.”
“I was in a situation and it was not easy to make that decision to leave the band and the fans,” Sambora added.
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi previously revealed his and other band members' reactions when Sambora did not join them back in 2013 following a break.
The 62-year-old singer reportedly said, “We were all shocked. It was a show that night … and he just didn't show up. And then the next night, and then the next night …”
“We had 120 people on the road, 80 other shows to do. So the train kept going,” Bon Jovi shared as he elaborated that “it was the end of a chapter for the band. Difficult, but, you know, life goes on.”
Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi have no problems with each other
Also about the rumored “animosity” between him and Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi told PEOPLE in April, “He came over and watched three parts of the docuseries at my house,” referring to the new-released ‘Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story’ on Hulu.
“There’s never animosity,” he asserted.
The documentary also showed Sambora saying, “I don’t regret leaving the situation, but I regret how I did it, so I want to apologize fully right now to the fans, especially, and also to the guys because my feet and my spirit were just not letting me walk out the door.”
