WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump called out President Joe Biden for his Israel policy, accusing him of dumping the Jewish state, reported The Hill.

The GOP presumptive nominee slammed his predecessor in a Fox News 'MediaBuzz' interview with host Howard Kurtz, set to air on Sunday, March 17th.

"And all of a sudden, he dumped Israel, that's what he's doing, he dumped Israel," Trump criticized Biden, adding, "He just said, essentially, that Bibi Netanyahu should take a walk."

The Democrat president, who has supported Israel's right to defense since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, backtracked on his policies, criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloodshed of Palestinian civilians.

Furthermore, he is under mounting pressure from his party's left wing to back a permanent ceasefire in the ongoing war in Gaza.

Donald Trump's take on Chuck Schumer's demand for a new election in Israel

Kurtz inquired about Trump's opinion on the US interference in its sovereign ally's government in light of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's recent floor speech demanding new elections in Israel.

The former president responded negatively, saying, "The Democrats are very bad for Israel. Israel sticks with them. I guess Israel is loyal, maybe to a fault, because they stick with these guys."

Schumer, the first Jewish Senate majority leader, on March 14, claimed Netanyahu's coalition government "no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7."

"At this critical juncture, I believe a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel, at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government," the top Democrat Senator demanded.

President Biden also backed Schumer, describing his remarks as a "good speech" without directly echoing the need for a new election in the Jewish state.

The president has grown more critical of Israel's war on Gaza as the Palestinian death toll crossed 30,000 and the region comes under the grip of famine due to a lack of humanitarian aid.

He recently claimed that Netanyahu's war policies have been "hurting Israel more than helping Israel."

At the State of the Union address last week, Biden urged Israel to "do its part" to let more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Besides pressure from the left, the incumbent's policy shift stemmed from rising pro-Palestinain protestors voting "uncommitted" in the Democratic primaries, including Michigan, which caused a dent in his vote share.

Trump and Biden have secured respective party nominations and will face each other in November for a rematch.

Internet reacts to Trump's claim

Weighing in on Trump's allegation of Biden dumping Israel, some netizens slammed the ex-president while others hinted Trump would not end the war.

One user wrote, "Can you imagine if Obama had gone on interviews to criticize TFG's policies during his term? It's ridiculously inappropriate. Especially when it's an attempt to undermine USA's official foreign policy."

"Why does anyone even care what this clown thinks?" another user asked.

A user added, "This treasonous criminal doesn't have any policies.....report that you idiots."

"Lol Trump’s main criticism is that Biden should be more genocidal," a response read.

Someone else wrote, "For the 'Trump would end the war in Gaza on his first day' crowd... Trump is criticizing Biden for not supporting Netanyahu enough..."

"cant wait for Trump to call Biden 'genocide Joe' on the debate stage," another person said. [sic]
